Well, this is long overdue. Had a great takeout experience. We tried the tandoori chicken and it's delicious! The owner was very friendly and our wait for the food was pretty short. We can't wait to come back, maybe try dining in? We will update this review then.

Decided to try out the food for the first time. Got the tandoori chicken, achari lamb, and chicken curry. Tandoori chicken was bland. Looked like the only seasoning put on was red food coloring. Achari lamb was pretty solid, however, the curry still had chunks of onions and tomato. Wish they would've cooked them more. Chicken curry was also solid. Nothing amazing. Nothing bad. For the price, I think you could find better options, but overall, solid curries

This is our go to spot! We always get garlic naan with our main dishes and it is sooooo yummy. They also give rice with main dishes which is great. So far we've only had v basic dishes like butter chicken, tikka masala and daal but all have been delicious. Give this restaurant your business, they make delicious food and are super nice.

Food was really good temperature and tasty. Waiter was very nice and pleasant. I would recommend this place and definitely would come again.

We ordered takeaway and skipped around the menu and had the grilled lamb chops ($17), special chicken mughlai ($16, dark meat chicken in a tomato cashew sauce), palak paneer and onion naan sprinkled with lots of fresh cilantro. All the dishes were intensely seasoned and delicious. I really enjoyed the fenugreek seed in our selections and the spicy mango chutney that tasted homemade. The grilled lamb chops were the standout. The decor is whimsical, especially the light-changing ceiling that melds disco with The Partridge Family. Grill n Curry would be a good spot for a first date because at night it's dimly lit but not super romantic and quite cheerful.

One of the best Indian food places we've been to, and hubby is English so he knows his curry! We will definitely return to try more of the menu.

Very good food. Fast. Great service. Will be going again when I'm in SF. We got the chicken biryani, mughali chicken curry, and beef nihari and chicken boti. Amazing.

My husband had the Chicken Mughlai special that came with rice. I ordered a mixed grill platter that has a variety of meats including chicken and lamb with onion. I'm not sure the seasonings, but it was all delicious! I was offered 2 sauces, both of which I tried and liked. The service was friendly and the restaurant wasn't crowded. I noted they did have several take out orders. Thanks to Yelp we found this restaurant with Indian food!

Amazing food! I want to try more dishes from here. Will definitely order again soon! It's a New restaurant, do give it a try. Support your local SF restaurants :)

3.5 Stars Very clean establishment. Good takeout service. I really like that my paneer tikka masala came with rice ( that is a really good deal!). My only dissatisfaction was that the paneer tikka masala was watery, lacked great flavor and there really wansn't much paneer ( I believe 4 cubes). The rice was good as was the butter naan. I would definitely try again.

Overdue review for take-away during COVID pandemic. It was so good we got take-away again a few days later. Between the two trips we ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, chicken palak, lamb curry and naan.

Really cheap low quality meat. Only ate half the meal. Made me want to vomit. And I LOVE Indian/pakistani food!

Super impressed with the cleanliness and the design of the placeVery friendly and nice to be in.The owner (?) was saying how the pandemic really affected the business ....but I got to say .....we ordered three dishes between the two of us and left extremely hungry! There was very little meat in the dishes. Why don't you put more meat in your food? Everything was just watery and not satisfying. I tried to fill up on rice and naan.... but you know how that goes ....it's not healthy nor is it satisfying. On the positive side $2 for a salad is an extremely good deal and the other prices were fairly reasonable.

Tasty biryani. The chicken tikka masala was less creamy than I am used to. Good quality white meat in the chicken tikka masala. Quick and seamless togo takeout ordering. Large menu for lots of options. Overall this is a good restaurant for satisfying cravings for Indian food when you're in the hood. My go to for Indian in San Francisco is Tilak, in Bernal Heights. Tilak is similar pricing but on a whole other level of talent and quality.
