Been a while, but the pastries weren’t bad when I last tried them. However, they did give me a fake ten dollar bill once which wasn’t cool. Their negligence could have easily gotten me in trouble. Maybe modernize and take other methods of payment beyond cash?

I discovered this gem getting lost with my friend and I'm so happy I did! They have the most delicious curry pastry, so light and flaky and you can see all the layers of Love put into every bite! The chicken pie had a buttery crust with chicken pot pie filling Chinese style sooo good!! I also enjoyed a lemon roll cake so spongy, light and fluffy it's like eating lemony air. My friend gave me a bite of her BBQ pork bun and I ran back to get one myself but sadly they had closed. Oh well, gives me an excuse to come back next time I'm in San Francisco again YAY!!!

my family really love this bakery, especially my son. He usually eats only the sausage while eating a sausage bun but he finished the whole thing from this store, even the scallion sausage bun to my surprise. The buns are really fluffy and not hard the next day. The red bean bread has alot of fillings too

Not bad, curry pastry and the BBQ pork pastry are really good. The winter melon cake (wife cake) is not bad either. The egg tarts and the Portuguese tarts are just average. Conveniently located on a busy stretch of Clement.

Ever give a gift and after discover that the gift is s*@!? That's the situation I find myself in as I write this! I am a huge fan girl of Chinese bakeries and all the pastries sold, so as I passed this one today I had to go inside and make a purchase. Then I remembered that my neighbor (and a great one at that, ) 'had a birthday coming up,on Monday I think' followed by 'who doesn't like yummy, soft and gooey pastries on their bday'! Well these weren't yummy. I was surprised, I have never met a pastry I didn't like;until today. It was awfully sterile looking for a bakery, no signs of anything ever been baked here, and none of the amazing smells that usually temp people inside. Also I was a little put off by all the pastries being wrapped up in crinkly wrap. But, it was very crowded, everyone had their trays loaded and that is a good indication that it will be tasty. So I bought a few to eat and a few for my neighbors birthday treat. The Napoleon was terrible, I usually live these; they are my very favorite, but this! The pastry leaves were cooked well and tasted buttery but the "filling" was not creamy and light. It actually tasted like an old sugar cube that had some coffee spilled on it so it was hard as a rock. It went in the trash. Maybe I misunderstood what a Napoleon was? Next I warmed up a pork bun; the pork inside was all pieces of fat. No meat, it reminded me of the "pork" in pork and beans cans. The sauce tasted rancid. The bun however was perfect. I also spent 7.50$ for a piece of durian crepe cake, again the crepe part was delish; but the creme tasted spoiled and the durian smelled and tasted overripe. You might get lucky if you get a roll or something plain, but just go somewhere it is fresh and yummy.

Great last-minute birthday cake. However, I did pick up the cake early in the morning. It was so delicious and moist. I'm definitely going there again. Everyone was so happy and pleased. This was the only cake like this made in the store. $50 is well worth it. Staff friendly and efficient. In and out in 10 minutes. Plates, knife, candles forks included.

Where's the black sesame filling????? Disappointed. And this is so different from the fancy wheat field in the sunset.

I love Harvest Wheat Field Bakery because they have a wide variety of tasty pastries and incredibly affordable pricing. Many pastries are $2 or $3 (after tax) and I always enjoy making my picks for the day. They have trays and tongs in cute pastry carts which everyone will enjoy. Service is fast and friendly. All in all a terrific spot for cheap eats and delicious bites.

Tried the unique, subtly sweet tasting sesame coated yolk crisp bar. It was not really my type of item and so I'll definitely be back to try their pastries which looked rather ravishing.

Food is not fresh. I bought a sandwich and had diarrhea after eating it. I had diarrhea 6 times and my stomach hurt for a day.

Same repeating bakeries. Not enough varieties

Favorite bakery in Inner Richmond. Good value for some chonky egg tarts (~3" diameter) and the other stuff I've tried have all been good too, like the black sesame and taro buns. Good service, clean inside. Bring cash if spending under $10
