Great omakase and a good value at $125 for the highest tier. I would definitely return for this. However I would NOT recommend the wine/sake pairing which costs an extra $90 -- completely overpriced and not worth it at all.

One of my favorite sushi experiences ever, and I've been to Japan. The service was so exceptional that I almost started to feel bad. The food was fresh, innovative, and incredibly fresh. The vibe and ambiance were great. 10/10 would highly recommend if you can afford it.

Excellent omakase experience. Two menu options. $85 or $125. The latter was 10 nigiri pieces preceded by several tasty innovative dishes. I will return. Good service, nice atmosphere.

We had an excellent time dining at Hinata! Just came back from Japan a couple weeks ago and we were craving sushi. We were blown away how flavorful the nigiri was. All pieces were so fresh and uniquely prepared. Absolutely delicious. Kyle was a delight and amazing at his craft. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Loved this experience. The chef this time was really great, he was funny! I also asked for 1/2 peoples items to be no spice and he did a great job accommodating. Appetizers are the best here and the cute birthday champagne I loved

The chef and staff are all very attentive and make you feel so welcome and cared for. We came for our anniversary and they brought us a lovely desert. We had the grand omakase which has a great range of flavors and some amazing bites. Would recommend sitting at counter which feels more intimate. Drink options are a bit pricey but foods the star of the show. Their serveware is very elegant and creative as well.

For $125, we got an excellent omakase experience in SF. I’ve been to several omakase places and normally $100ish range omakase is quite mediocre comparing to $200-$300ish one, but this place has amazing quality for a very affordable price. The restaurant is clean with limited seatings at omakase table where you can see the chefs preparing the dish and several separate tables for dine in. They also have a la cart menu if you want extra fish and try other kinds. The service was great. Having reservations ahead is recommended. We were lucky that we made reservation a day before and got in for Saturday night dinner

Came here for a Valentine’s Day dinner early and what a cool omakase experience! We got the grand experience.Good:- We got seated right in front of the chef so got to talk to him as he made the sushi in front of us- Good amount of food - there was some appetizers and dessert and a lot of nigiri- Super nice service and the fish was all so so fresh and tasty- Romantic ambiance inside, its dim and quiet for catchupsBad:- expensive!Overall it was a great date spot and a really nice vibe.

It was so awesome- first we had our own personal sushi chef-& the fish/creations were amazing- each piece was a symphony of flavors- it's a treat spot but we thought for a special bday it was worth it ?

Eating at Honata Sushi was truely an amazing experience. The service was top notch, the food was delicious and a luxurious treat. We had the privilege of being served by the owner and chef who was so kind and even joined in singing happy birthday to my sister and best friend!

The food was very fresh and filled with a lot flavours. Each bite made me fight to decide which is my favourite. The chef took the time to educate us on the fish and where they come from too. Amazing experience

We had a great meal there - ordered the omakase and added the supplement of otoro, uni, and A5 wagyu. We prioritized nigiri over cooked dishes hence why we did that versus getting the grand omakase. No regrets - each piece was excellent but the supplemental ones were amazing! The service was impeccable and we really enjoyed it and would go again. The only tiny downside is the neighborhood - but ultimately it was fine.

First time trying Hinata and we were lucky it wasn't too busy. We got the Grand Omakase and everything was good quality. Quick service and the space was very well maintained. 10/10 would come back again

This was an excellent omakase experience!! Incredible sushi with the most perfect flavors, amazing service, and good value. I was really impressed, this is the best omakase I’ve had in quite some time, the fish was so fresh and paired with excellent flavors. Normally I’m not a big fan of mackerel, but they served the best mackerel I’ve ever had in addition to the amazing snapper, toro, black miso cod with truffles, and so many more! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent omakase experience! Thai was my first time doing omakase, and I really enjoyed the variety of sushi that was served. Our chef was very friendly and engaging without being overly chatty. Would highly recommend!
