Small Izakaya packed with unique food items like Akedashi Mochi (rather than tofu) or Beef Intestine udon! We enjoyed the vibe of small, hidden intimated shop. The staff is nice and the food tastes amazing. Some dishes are small portion but some are huge like grilled octopus. It is quite an adventure to explore all the food you don't find in a typical American Japanese restaurants so have fun!

Great little unassuming spot for sushi date night. Affordable but quality. Tempura was very fresh, rice was warm -- you know the food was made fresh.

So so so good. Highly recommend Motsu Nabe and fried lotus root, but you can't go wrong with anything here. Pricing was really reasonable too. Favorite izakaya in SF, can't wait to be back.

The person was acting like owner , came to after i sign check and left outside to leave with my friend, owner said that she didn’t see my check with signature, i remember that i left in the table. When i sign again in front on her , after she saw my 7$ tips she start extort more, i said you can not extort more tips from me , its illegal!!! She just said next time take to go food or don’t come back. Of course i will never come back and never recommend to anyone. This place fool of dirt because of that woman, she was acting like owner . I spend 150$ for 2 person ! Its a lot to ask more

From the outside, this izakaya is so inconspicuous that I didn't realize I had arrived but the inside is so cute. I came with a friend and the weekday night we came it was on the more quiet side so I would say it's better for dates or small friend gatherings. We ordered 3 items and they were all so good. We got to the takowasa, which was very fresh, and the maybe baby and rich daddy rolls. Both rolls were super thick and had very generous cuts of fish. I usually can eat more than a roll but I was so full after eating a few pieces. The fish was all high quality and the flavors were all well balanced. Service was also great and prices were so reasonable considering the quality, I will definitely be back to try more items

From being seated to finishing our meal, the servers were attentive. Even though the place was packed, food came out at a good pace. Everything we ordered was delicious! We decided to order the agedashi mochi since we have never seen it offered anywhere else before and no regrets! The negitoro Taru taru is a must get. Paired with some sake, this made a great dinner to catch up with my girl friend.

Everything was tasty, and the fancier items were on point. The menu is surprisingly heavy on the rolls - but on the plus sides - they're tasty and filling. Extensive list of sakes and a few beers make IM a drink spot as much as a food spot.* my phone camera decided to fail so no photos from this one :(
