There are not a lot of genuine neighborhood Irish pubs. This is a great one, with a, sincere, pleasant rotating clientele, and patient staff who take care of everyone.

The bouncer told my family that couldn't afford "this restaurant" after dealing with him we finally sat down and we waited over 45 minutes for service. Worst food of all time.

I work in the neighborhood and enjoy coming here. Everyone is friendly. Also a good place to grab a snack on your lunch break. On the weekends they have a dj down in their lounge so a fun place to go dance if that's what you're looking for.

I enjoyed the dark wood furnishings and the seating in the basement. It was arranged very well for an evening comedy show.

We came here for a quick dinner prior to a show. It was surprisingly kinda busy for a weeknight after work (I thought the FIDI was dead! LOL). The waitress was frazzled -- too many big parties that night. So we finally flagged her down and ordered the chicken pot pie based on the reviews. It actually was very good - there was lots of thyme in it (an idea I need to steal next time I make chicken pot pie). But this place was jut too understaffed to fully enjoy.
I stumbled upon Kell's in between appointments and needing an early lunch. I was the first customer of the day. I sat at the bar, ordered lunch and a glass of champagne. The bartender was easy going and friendly. I had a mouthwatering enchilada dish that I will definitely return for. At 1:00pm, Kell's starts to fill up mostly around the bar. Having conversation with professional people was nice. This is a San Francisco old school bar/grill that's a pearl. Do not pay attention to the negative reviews. It's a cute place. Go early for lunch or dinner!

Thus is one special place. Whether it's for food or late night drinks. The staff is freaking awesome! Love it!

Went to this bar early last night (5-7pm) to see a friend's improv show. One of the women we were with got roofied while we were there. She told us her drink tasted salty and then a few minutes later was on the floor. We took care of her (water, food at a nearby restaurant) but WILL NOT go back to this place ever again!

Top notch bartenders, Sajee all day, all night. Kells is extremely hospitable to my family and friends. I highly suggest going here for a fun night out or with some after work drinks with some coworkers wanting to play trivia. The lighting is dark and the mood is set just right for some Irish car bombs and fireball shots ;)
