Ken was OK at best. For a price of $250-300 per head, the food and experience should be exceptional. The food: there were probably 2-3 stand out dishes. The quantity of food was good and quality was good (not amazing), but the overall coursing felt a bit flat. The first course of a selection of sashimi was sitting out on the counter pre-cut and pre-plated for at least 15 minutes prior to serving us. At this price range you would expect different. There is a VERY limited selection of wines. The ambiance: The space is cool and intimate. Worst part is it smelled like fish. I understand this is a sushi restaurant, but many omakase spots (especially in this price range) don't have that fishy smell when you walk in the door. The service: good not great. Ken is great, knowledgeable, funny and engaging, but his staff could be a bit more knowledgeable on the menu and wine pairing. For the price I'd expect a bit more

KEN was an excellent dive into omakase, and lent a casual take on a beautiful experience. Over two hours, we were served piece after piece of beautifully crafted sushi and sides (soups, custards, rice, etc) and it is absolutely worth saving up for this experience <3

March 2024:Enjoyed a wonderful omakase dinner at this small intimate restaurant. Chef Ken is a very personable and warm host. The sushi and sashimi were the highlights of the dinner. The fatty tuna ? was my favorite! ?I like how Chef Ken adds a personal touch to the menu.I would definitely come back again for another omakase dinner!

This is one of the best meals I have had in my life. Everything was delicious and expertly prepared but that wasn't the end of it. The entire night felt warm and inviting. Impressive from a food, service and creativity standpoint. Just a great time. Highly recommend

Such an incredibly special place. Every bite was outstanding and Ken's vibes were second to none. I have spent a lot of time in Japan and this felt just like a spot in you would find tucked away in Tokyo. Phenomenal and worth every penny, thank you Ken and can't wait to come back.

Everything you would want in terms of fresh fish and other delicious dishes. It’s only the chef and one other helper, which makes it a nice and intimate dinner. Hope chef continues the great work and get the recognition he deserves!

Ken is the ultimate omakase experience. With just 7 seats, one enters and will immediately feel special. Ken is gracious and so welcoming, sweetly beaming as he shares details about each dish as he presents to you. The entire evening was exquisite - tastes we have never experienced before in a beautiful serene and modern atmosphere. We highly recommend Ken and cannot wait to return.

Was very good comfy and the staff seemed like they were having a good time but value wasn't the best compared too much cheaper places with same fish quality and quantity

I've sat in sushi bars, really fine ones, and I know how hard this guy worked, how proud he is. I know you don't need sauce. I know he doesn't even want you to pour sauce. And I've seen customers come in and do that, and I've seen him, as stoic as he tries to remain, I've seen him die a little inside -- Anthony Bourdain Per his website: "Originally from Hong Kong, Chef Ken has over 20 years of experience as a sushi chef. In his early career, he worked in the restaurant scene in San Francisco including staging at multiple Michelin star restaurants. This led to his passion for sushi when he became a chef at Sushi Ran and then Sous Chef at Kusakabe, both working under Chef Mitsunori Kusakabe." This was an omakase experience second to none. Just six people, with Ken, eating for two hours course after course of wonderful and artful cuisine. The dishes will change of course, but this was a rare meal worth the hundreds of dollars that I paid for food, wine, sake, tip. I'd happily do this again, no questions asked. It's that good, that serene and calm, and yes, I never used sauce ;-) Highly recommended for a unique experience that is worth saving up for.

Very unique sushi experience. The flavors were bold and creative. This is not your standard omakaze. Would recommend!

This is a one of a kind experience. Amazing food and atmosphere from a master sushi chef. As others mentioned, it’s expensive. Easily the most expensive meal I’ve ever had. But it’s definitely a meal you won’t forget.
