Shabu shabu was very delicious! I was a bit under the weather but the soup had healing powers!I left my bag there. Returned the next morning. The staff were very nice and gave me everything right away.

This place was the food highlight of our trip. Absolutely the best Japanese food we have ever had. It's been 2 years now. We have searched the Midwest high and low seeking anything that can compare. We have failed.. we think fondly of this fantastic restaurant. We stayed across the street in a hotel.

Horrible service on a slow day. Waiter ignored us after bringing half our order and completely forgot my sashimi until I got up and walked around looking for him. Found him talking on the phone. Food was average at best. Beef in the ramen was dry and lacking flavor. Sashimi was sliced way too thick and tasted like grocery store sashimi. Spent $130 for tempura, two bowls of ramen, one roll and a 12 pc of sashimi.

We ordered some rolls for take out and the rice had a weird texture that reminded us of supermarket sushi. The flavors were ok. But rice was off putting.

The ramen is very unorthodox but I can’t eat it if I don’t eat it.

I came and sat for 15 minutes at this restaurant. There’s an Asian (Japanese or Chinese or Korean or Vietnamese) girl who came much later than me, she was served water and the waiter took her order. I got served no water and they didn’t even come to take my order. Other 4 folks seated next to me also got frustrated and asked them where to order and they then sent a waiter to take their order but no one came to me. I was most well dressed person in the room. I left the place and took my business elsewhere. Likely a racist place and horrible customer service.

I loved the food here! We regularly order food from here on GrubHub, but decided to come to the restaurant today. I'm not too satisfied with the atmosphere though, it was very bright but the food totally made up for it. Highly recommend for a casual dinner out. A little expensive, it was ~$100 for 2 people but I wouldn't be too bothered by it. The food was awesome.

Authentic japanese fare! I thought their soba and tempura was quite like the bowls I had in japan. I'm not sure what percentage buckwheat they are (probably not juwari), but they felt up there! Some shichimi in the soba went really well. They have a massive sushi menu, ramen and okonomiyaki, the last of which is hard to find. I think I'll be walking to here a fair bit the next year or so to try them all out.

Well, this is one of the best sushi places I have ever been. It is not too fancy which makes it more affordable. You feel that you are in the correct place when you step in. Very fresh and delicious. They are very humble, I love the atmosphere.

This place was amazing. We came in during the dinner rush and were sat in the back. Much more quiet than the front. The service was great and they were very attentive. The food, AMAZING! The ramen portions were huge and had so much flavor! We had medium spicy and it was perfect. The people complaining obviously have no culture appropriation. Some of the best Japanese food i have ever tasted. We also ordered appetizers and they were hot a fresh with loads of flavor. The bill was $100 for three of us with 2-3 appetizers. Which is expected in a big city. Even better it was located right across the street.10/10 recommend for authentic Japanese food.

Best Ramen in SF!! Huge quantity with excellent quality and definitely worth the price. Will definitely be returning. The older gentleman that brought our meal was so courteous. He bowed down after placing the meal on the table and said enjoy. I ordered the black garlic ramen and it was so flavorful! Upon leaving the restaurant, I accidentally forgot my AirPods and the lady server was kept it secure until I came back to pick up. Very kind gesture!

Really disappointing meal: I love Japanese food but when I saw pieces of sweetcorn floating in the ramen my heart sank. The vegetables were not fresh and barely visible. Also, I can handle really spicy food but the interpretation of “medium spicy” at this restaurant basically means “make it and then put a shovel load of chilli in oil on top”. The food was bland, unauthentic and so spicy it would have been inedible for 99% of the population. I won’t be going back :(
