Came here today to have a carne asada burrito, that I've done so many times in the past, but I noticed some unfavorable differences this time. They are now charging for chips and salsa, which I wouldn't mind except that the quality of the chips has gone way down, they are terrible stale bagged chips, nothing like they used to give before. I don't mind paying for chips but at least make them good quality, it was terrible. The carne asada was good but I got some pieces that were full of fat, that did not occur very often in the past. I paid $20 for the burrito, chips, and a drink. I'm not very happy this time around. Prices went up and quality went down

I hadn't been to La Alteña in over 20 years, my dad used to take me when I was a kid. I always remembered how much I liked their burritos. I made sure to stop by when visiting San Francisco. I ordered a burrito and it tasted just how I remember from when I was a kid. It hit the spot! The food was

I ordered on DoorDash because they had rave reviews. However, once I received the super nachos which I called ahead of time to make sure that it was going to be delivered correctly once I received it, it was a horrible unedible mess of a soup. It was nowhere near the consistency, nachos should be. And the chips that I received with it were stale almost $15 for soup and stale chips. I also ordered two tacos on the side. They were soggy and wrapped in foil when they arrive don’t Waste your time and your money here and be aware that on DoorDas They filter the reviews so only the good ones come up.

The shrimp burrito was sooo yummy! Super quick service. Big dining space. It was a bit pricy but only because I ordered a super shrimp burrito ($17).

Do you like Mexico? Do you like random soccer games with teams you’ve never heard of on the TV? This is the place! The wet burrito is out of this world, and the price point of the food is tough to contend with.
