Uncourteous and pricey place! Limón is probably the premiere Peruvian style chicken place in the city yet La Fusión both costs more and looks worse. Not to mention just the rude service when we only wanted to try some of the chicarron before dinner. Overpriced and rude service with unremarkable food. This may have been good a years ago but with quite a few more Peruvian places in the city, La Fusión is a big skip.

One of San Francisco's true hidden gems. I think people often over use that term but in the case of La Fusion it's really appropriate - I've been coming here for over ten years and despite the food always being amazing it's never too difficult to get a seat at this place on any given night. It won't seem like much on entry. It's cozy and unassuming - a large bar dominates the space despite them mostly serving wine and sangria. The interior really doesn't really set you up for what you're about to experience. The food itself is an absolutely knock out. I don't think I've ever had anything at this place that I didn't love. The ceviche will be your first good sign: all of them are fresh and packed with flavor, particularly the seared tuna. The lomo saltado with its beef and fries is just a perfect comfort food combination. All of the soups they rotate through are some of the best I've ever had (particularly the mushroom-based one). But as I'm sure everyone else has pointed out, the real star of the show is the rotisserie chicken with the bread salad; obviously the chicken is juicy and falavorful but the rather unassuming sounding "bread salad" sits below the chicken soaking up all the juices and oh-my-god is it amazing. That chicken is easily one of the best meals you can have in San Francisco. Service is really nice and attentive, and the owner/chef clearly is usually working with a big smiling beam on his face suggesting that he knows he's bringing joy to everyone who visits his restaurant. This place is a MUST VISIT.

Excellent food right next to Occidental cigar lounge. All the food is quality made and great ambiance. They may close in a few weeks due to rent increase so don't wait!

I wasn't impressed at all. Very overpriced and very small portions. I ordered the empanadas.... They looked like small egg rolls cut in half, 2 very small egg rolls for $16.00 which is insane. We also got 1/2 chicken and steak Loma saltino, The chicken was just ok. No seasoning on chicken, and the steak was covered in a gravy sauce that went good at all. The one poor server had the entire restaurant and every single table was sat. I would never go back to this place again. The prices are ridiculous and the food was sub par.

Nice place for a cozy meal. The service was impeccable, the food was served quickly and presented beautifully. The menu is pretty small, just a few items (I think 4) for entrees but they all looked good. We ordered the chicken (Arroz con pollo) and Lomo saltado. Chicken breast and wing, fried to perfection, surprisingly moist and juicy, and the cilantro rice that came with it was amazing. The Lomo saltado, steak and fries in brown vinegretty sauce was just ok, the steak didn't taste like much but the sauce was very tasty so the combination was good. We got a potato leek soup as well, it was tasty but I kinda wished they had puréed the potates and leek.

One of the best food spots I've been to in the city. The service was excellent and the waiter was extremely friendly, made us feel very welcome. Unfortunate that they aren't getting enough recognition for their amazing food.

We love this place. I like everything in the menu. The sangria is perfect, not too sweet. I love the service, the music, the atmosphere.

Going to be picky because of the price point. Ordered the Lomo Saltado which cost $34. Pros: it came out really quick, they used tenderloin for the meat, had all the elements a good Lomo needs. Cons: the sauce had way too much vinegar, the cilantro was still on the stem so I would have to pick it myself. Ended up having to return it because of the sauce and ordered the Arroz con Pollo instead which took a really long time to prepare. $8 for a Chicha morada which was also just okay. Would not recommend this for Peruvian customers, but probably really good for everyone else.
