This is probably the best lunch spot in the Downtown if you're looking for a cheap and quick bite. Prices are at or below $10, which is really rare in Downtown, especially for a place with large enough portions to satiate your hunger. There is also never a line, thought it probably deserves one. The food is nothing to rave about but satisfying.

Excellent fried tofu bah mi and vietnamese iced coffee! One of the least expensive lunches you can get in the area, and it's full of veggies! Great lunch spot, I'm glad they survived the pandemic!

Favorite Vietnamese sandwich shop ever! Egg sandwich & chicken sandwich in particular are amazing - also the Shrimp Spring Rolls AND of course - freshly made coconut waffles! Great for a grab and go to enjoy eating along the Embarcadero! Love this place :))

Disgusting. Tried this place because I love Banh Mis. Ordered a pork sandwich. Went back to my hotel to try it and immediately I got a strong odor of old meat. Got past that aspect and gave it one bite and spit it out. It was absolutely disgusting and inedible. It literally was a piece of boiled pork with a huge chunk of fat that tasted rancid and spoiled. As another reviewer said; they thought it was odd this place did boiled pork - its supposed to be grilled. In addition, half of the sandwich was carrots. The cucumbers were old and translucent. No excuses for this place since I came right when they opened at 11am. For only being open for 3 hours (despite what their window states), you'd think they'd pay more attention to quality control. Nope. Waste of money and time. Avoid this place.

Good little spot. I got the super combo sandwich. It was basically an oversized Bahn Mi. Too much carrot for my liking but it did taste good. All of the flavors were nice and fresh. The bread was fresh as well. Definitely a spot you need to check out.

Love this place! Glad it's still open since most of the business are now working from home so not many customers. Ordering is easy online, by phone or in person! Service is super fast and friendly! The gentleman always working is so kind! I tend to get the roasted pork banh mi. It has loads of flavor and the bread is nice and warm/crispy! The pricing is good for the size sandwich you get! Also they do have a credit card reader so you don't have to worry about it being cash only anymore!

Little store, delicious food Little Saigon Deli is a very small place with one window facing Steuart Street. Out of that window come all sorts of delicious sandwiches and other goodies. I am personally hooked to the Spring Rolls and Vietnamese Coffee. The Spring Rolls are a perfect snack if you want something healthy to fill you up until your main meal, and the Vietnamese Coffee is an awesome afternoon wake me upper. I have tried a couple of the sandwiches over the last couple of years and they are great too. If it wasn't for my "Salad for Lunch" diet, I'd be eating those sandwiches a few times a week! Jesse, the owner/operator, is a wonderful guy. I have had the opportunity to chat with him a little while waiting for my orders and find him wonderfully informed. Next time you are around, stop and give it a try. You can always grab your sandwich and walk to one of the Piers. Nothing like biting on a good sandwich while enjoying a fantastic view!

Being a vegan can be a challenge for many, I however enjoy it, as most do not. Thanks to this little gem of a find I succeeded. Can I just say that I absolutely appreciate Jesse!!! He makes every sandwich I have purchased with extra care. So again being vegan lol, I can only judge so much, well the Tofu Banh Mi is it! The bread is toasted and drenched, can it be both? Well get one and you be the judge. I love that the tofu is crispy but not deep fried, get all the veggies because you can't have a banh mi without them. If you are all about that spice don't forget to get jalapeño and perfect lunch!

What a sweet little spot! So glad to see them open and serving delicious food especially when everything else is closed! The prep time was super quick, the sandwich was top notch, and even the coconut waffle was amazing! Was also really happy to see such a nice selection on the menu for a tiny takeout restaurant. Great work!

Yum! Good banh mi! Fresh ingredients, bread is soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside. Shrimp spring rolls were good. The smells from the window help you find the way. Great price for a great sandwich. One gentleman made the sandwich and another took orders. Thank you!

I love this guy, and I love his coconut waffles! Be patient; it's a small operation, but you won't be sorry. These just literally melt in your mouth. Super reasonable, and so delicious!

Good place to grab a bang mi. Cheap and tasty. It's a one man operation though so you will need to wait your turn. It's never disappoint.

Little hole in da wall but it has pretty tasty banh mi sandwiches. Fresh warm rolls hits the spot on a cold San Franciscan day. Not bad for $7.

Just perfect, everything you would hope it would be for a classic little spot. Go out of your way if you need to and grab a sandwich.
