Sandwich tasted good, but 80% carrots, hardly any meat. Pricey for what you get, used to be much less.

Looks like they recently merged with the restaurant next door. Probably a good idea. But the bahn mi's went up $3 or so since the last time I was in there. At $9.50 it's still a better value than most other places but not the amazing value it used to be. It's also not super flavorful, but still a very satisfying crispy fresh sandwich.

Ordered from this place twice and each time the rice was extremely over cooked to the point of being crunchy. The rest of the food was cold and undercooked. Can’t recommend this place until they improve their food.

This little cafe and their delicious Vietnamese coffee was there for me on, probably, one of the lowest days of my life, and I continue to stop by whenever I'm in the area because their food and beverages are just too good. A true hidden treasure out there on Clement Street!

Fast service, but expensive for the quality of food. Banh mi and a soda will run you about 15 dollars total. I thought the bread being dry and stale the first time might have been a fluke so I went back for a second try but it was even harder and more stale the second time. The flavor of the meat is good, but it tastes a bit old, like it was cooked a day or two ago and microwaved. My chicken banh mi had a lot of bones in it that I kept having to spit out.

Something dialed this place up recently. Maybe it's the Kojo influence, but it's more than that. The people that work there are on game, recommending the garlic noodles and chicken for the picky 4yr old (we all loved it) and the Bun Mi pork and special sauce, so so delish. Top of the top.

The place to go to for their Spicy Fish Pho! That's cod in a vegetarian flavorful spicy broth with rice noodles and bean sprouts, similar to Beef Pho which they also have and you can get the Fish soup also with meat broth on request. All their Phos are gluten-free. Small place with a few bar-style seats inside and outside.Vegetarian options: vegetarian broth in the fish soup and they have a pure vegetarian rice noodle soupDietary restrictions: all their soups are gluten-free

Delicious vegetarian pho! Veggies were fresh and crisp, and broth was flavorful. Mmm.

Tried this out on Too Good To Go where you dont know what you will get. I liked it, alot. Don't know what I got except lots of crunchy fresh salad with pork, chicken or maybe both. There were these little egg roll type things and 2 big crunchy bread rolls. Hubby and I split our nicely flavored meal and saved the rolls for later and we had plenty! I definitely would return. It is more of a carryout place than an eat in place.

The folks at Little Vietnam Cafe just catered our Senior Center Holiday Party for 90 people! They were great to work with and the food was delicious! Highly recommended.

Cozy little cafe with a myriad of Vietnamese dishes and a pretty strong Vietnamese coffee! - Bún Bò Huế: Lighter in flavor than I expected it to be and not that spicy. I was hoping for something more flavorful. Comes with some sides like beef and pork meatloaf. However, the portion size is substantial and I'd recommend this dish to anyone looking for something other than pho but has less of a preference for spice. Indoor seating is available via a counter that overlooks a nice little street in the Richmond. Service was speedy and portions were sizeable! While I wasn't as much of a fan of the bún bò huế, I'd be willing to come back and give their other dishes a try!

This has been one of our most favorite spots in the Inner Richmond for years. We LOVE their spicy vegetation pho and vegetarian rolls (grated jicama/sweet potato/tofu rolls and the buddha rolls are equally unique and delicious...the latter has a lemongrass-based dipping sauce that's extraordinarily umami yummy.) It's a family run place and they're always friendly and welcoming. An authentic gem in the culinary treasure chest that is San Francisco!

An average spot for Banh Mi in my opinion. I have noticed prices going up a lot while the quality has been declining. Yesterdays lunch orders of Lemmon grass pork were horrible. Everything seemed like it was from previous day or older. The bread was hard, dry and it crumbled when I opened it from the sandwich wrapper. The pork was cold, like it just came out from the fridge. They also have been raising prices frequently, as they are now $8.78 for chicken and pork, which the sign says $8.28 and $7 something 2 months ago. I also had a stomach ache after eating 1/2 of the sandwich. Definitely not in the same league as Saigon Sandwich or Banh Mi Ba Le in El Cerrito.

Best Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich) in the city. Banh Mi with lemongrass beef and special peter sauce is always my choice by far. But definitely will try other dishes on their menu in the future.
