We went on a Friday night, the place was busy, but not crowded.It is in the basement of a building and there is no need to pay entry.We enjoyed a great night of jazz with a really good band. The prices are fair compared to other bars and the place is really cool.The attendants are very attentive.

Apparently by the color of your skin you are treated differently here. The hostess (brown hair w glasses) didn’t bother to seat us, but she sat the white couple that came some minutes after us. This white lady was super rude. If you wanna be treated like a second-class citizen because you’re not white, come here.

The drinks were good. But not happy with how they handled their mistake. So the server gave me a wrong card and found out a few days later. I got someone’s card and they could’ve handed my card to someone and they could misuse my card. So I came all the way to the bar to pick up mine for their major mistake, but they only said sorry and handed my card to check the card. I was expecting either discount or something since they made a very risky and dangerous mistake.Disappointing service for a fine bar like this.

Cool spot. Unique. Fun. Can be tough to get into. Bring your wallet as not cheap as is typical for San Francisco higher end spots.
Decent dive bar. Fun atmosphere. I was just there for a short drink while on business, but I'll definitely visit again when in in San Francisco next. They make a good Old Fashioned.
