Have a soft spot for this place as it was the first gay bar I went to in San Francisco. Sundays are great fun here!

Great music! The bar staff was patient and kind. The slushy peach margarita was yummy!

Have been here a few times, each time for a different event; karaoke on a Monday night, Thursday night for a friend’s birthday (where another friend was the DJ), Halloween night, and most recently on a beautiful Saturday evening. Each time the place was packed but service was speedy. Saturday preserved a burger (who knew they served food?) and it was delicious.

Really fun atmosphere with a cool surrounding balcony for views! The cheap are reasonably priced and there's seating perfect for groups small to medium.

A friend who lives nearby took us to this great bar in the Castro. We arrived on a Friday around 6, and the happy hour was still going strong--I was surprised to see that it runs longer than other places on Friday nights! I think I saw somewhere that said until 7:30? Well drinks were $5 and I think beer was the same. We didn't get any food because we had dinner plans later on in the evening. Drinks in hand, we headed outside to the wraparound balcony. We found a spot among some other groups and enjoyed seeing the sun set on the city. It's a spacious bar that has some nice indoor outdoor areas, and everyone we spoke to (other patrons, bouncer, and bartender) were all friendly. Always a nice bonus, bathrooms were very clean. Lastly, they were playing Mean Girls on the large TV as we were leaving. It made us linger a bit longer quoting all the lines, naturally :) would definitely come here again.

I went to Lookout this past weekend for their Ghostbusters themed party and I was disappointed in the atmosphere of the establishment. I have been to Lookout a few times and have enjoyed my time and thought it would be a great place to spend Halloween weekend. If you are a fan of electronic/house music, it would be the place for you, but as someone who likes to dance and recognize the music in the bar, I was disappointed. The DJ who worked Halloween weekend was not great. In speaking with other guests, there was a consensus the music could have been better.

Great bar with a cool view of one of the most dangerous intersections in the world!

It’s fun place. DJ, friendly staff, dancing, smoking at the balcony. It has a great view.

Didn’t even walk in the door. We walked up to the door and the bouncer immediately was rude before we even said anything. I couldn’t believe how rude he was.We walked up and asked if there was cover charge and he immediately started yelling at us.He does not belong in the job.We didn’t even go in, and now we never will. I refuse to go into a place that decides to place the first person you meet as the face of the business.

Actually really liked this bar until I came here today and the bartender was incredibly rude about my very simple drink order. Sorry you work in The Castro at a busy spot during happy hour? But if being an a**hole to me makes you feel better about yourself then so be it :)

The bar itself is fine but whenever I leave Monday karaoke I can still hear it more than half a mile away. If you sing here just know all of the mission can hear you too ?
