I came in this past Saturday right when Manila Bowl opened. I had a combo of the Brown Rice, Brisket and the Chicken Adobo. The brisket was tender and their brisket sauce was so good. Their take on a boneless Chicken Adobo was very fit for a bowl. I topped my bowl with pickled carrots/cucumbers and a hard boiled egg. Manila Bowl is a great intro for folks curious about Filipino Food. Chef Aris (Ugly Kitchen NYC) is a master at creating such a great fusion balance using a few different and quality ingredients not normally found in Filipino cooking (like brisket) and keeping the flavor and recipes Filipino (like with their sauces). I cannot wait to try some of his other creations and takes on other Filipino Dishes.
