I came after my graduation, which ended 2 hrs early from the reservation time. We were seated by Jorge, who was awesome. I was given a glass of champagne, which was delish. Thank you for the wonderful service and food.

Candlelit Vibes were perfect for date night, pork cheek was awesome but the croquet was gooey and dreamy in the best way. Server was low key but always popped up when we needed something, my fave.

Had dinner at this cute place before a concert. We got a variety of appetizers and dishes to share. Our favorite was the Brussels sprout chips, we even ordered another round. Enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant.

Dined here before the SF Giants game since we heard good things about their burger. For the price point I was kind of disappointed. It was just okay at best. First of all the seating is really cramped at some tables, making it hard to leave and get into your seat. It wasn't too busy when we got there and the service was fine. We only got one appetizer, one entree and 2 drinks and our total was around $100. Grilled octopus 3/5 - the octopus itself was tender and cooked well but the flavors didn't really make sense. It was too salty and the sauce was overwhelmingly sour. You only get 2 tentacles and the rest is salad. Marlowe Burger 3/5 - The patty was thin, it was kind of soggy, and there was barely any cheese. It was mostly just slaw which just tasted like horseradish. For 25$ I expected a lot more. I actually think super duper and in and out are better. Drinks 4/5 - Not bad, pretty standard. I kind of expected better presentation though for $16 per drink.

Continued neighborhood gem. Always delivers - great food, great drinks, great service, great energy. With so many restaurants shutting in the area, it's comforting to know Marlowe can still be depended for a night out with friends, a date, or simply a local treat. Thank you!

Outstanding. Service was great. The food was better. The salmon poached egg was an all time great breakfast. Drinks and the bar get two thumbs up.

went here for date night and i gotta say-- probs one of the best burgers ever! they also gave us free oysters which was cool! love the vibe of the place as well!!

The food was good, particularly enjoyed the avocado toast. The atmosphere was cute and lively (a bit on the loud side for sure) The service was disappointing. Our waitress asked us multiple times if we needed the check (we'd only been there for about an hour), our water glasses remained empty for most of the brunch, and they didn't clear our fourth set of silverware/plate until midway through.

Our brunch was very good...the polenta with mushrooms and salmon tartine stood out. However it was very noisy and not even full. I can't imagine how it would be with a big crowd that had a bit more alcohol in them.

Group of three, looking for a quick meal before the Giants Baseball game near Oracle Park. Staff was very attentive & nice. However, they got my order wrong. I was deciding on my entree and I ended up getting the Warm Egg appetizer for my meal. Ordered: Two Marlowe BURGERs: $25/ eachcaramelized onions, cheddar, bacon, horseradish, aïoli & crispy fries The bread bun was nicely toasted, meat was cooked to order "medium-rare" The amount of horshradish on the burgers were too much. Had to ask for extra ketchup half-way thru the meal. I appreciate they have extra utensils to split meals. Half Warm Deviled EGG: $4 aged provolone, pickled jalapeño & bacon I do not recommend the "Warm Deviled Egg" It is half hard-boiled egg-1 bite for $4 One "Baker's Wife" Cocktail: Vodka, aperol, elderflower, grapefruit & lemon. Drink was very saturated with ice. Not much flavor. The location is nice near Oracle Park.

We stopped in before the giants game and there was no line and got seated rather quickly. We ordered some cocktails and shared a burger and the brussel sprouts. I was really excited to try the dinner items but I was got there a bit before 5 so we only were able to order from the bar menu. We didn't wanna wait for the dinner menu since we had the game to get to. The food came out very fast and the burger came cooked to perfection, medium rare. Definitely big enough to feed two people. However, the brussel sprout leaves were all separated out and were just like chips. I prefer them to be whole and pan fried. The country lawyer was great! Really enjoyed it. Would recommend and will come back to try to dinner menu!

Well, this review will be easy. Prior to seeing "The Boss" (Springsteen) we stopped to eat at Marlowe which in in the area of the Chase Center. We were there several years ago and enjoyed everything. We wound up ordering the exact same items years later. Yeah I know, pretty boring. Started with the Broccoli chips, tasty as always. We both had the burger which is one great burger. Comes with caramelized onions, cheddar, bacon, horseradish aïoli & fries. Finished the meal sharing dessert, Loretta's Vacherin, coffee ice cream, créme anglaise, almonds & chocolate sauce. Add in a couple glasses of wine and we were all set for The Boss! Service was relaxed and friendly. Next time we actually need to have dinner there instead of the afternoon menu lol.

All the food we ordered was cooked perfectly (gougères, gambas, scallops, pork cheeks). Fantastic value for the price. Service was attentive. My only complaint was the noise level. I felt like I was yelling at the server to be heard.

A few observations for Marlowe. The space is comfortably cozy without feeling tight or crowded. The decor is nice without being pretentious "look how hip/cooler than you we are". The bat setup is pretty standard but fits well thematically. Speaking of the bar, cocktails are simple and ours were well executed, including the cocktail. The wine list is large enough to allow choices but small enough to still allow staff to make informed recommendations, which they do without sounding condescending. Drinks from the bar were delivered quickly and the cocktail I ordered was a variation of the cocktail list they had and the bartender didn't bat an eye, mixing and serving quickly and accurately. Confident bartending is an often overlooked skill; if it's done well the customer usually doesn't even realize the level of service they're receiving. The menu during our visit was extensive enough everyone at the table felt like they had multiple choices for their entrée. The hor d' oeuvres looked good. Unfortunately we forgot to order, we were so excited about talking about each one with our server. Dinner was very good, each one of us chose different dishes and portions were well... um, portioned. Each dish was well prepared. None of the dishes was amazing next-level transcendent but each tasted good. The seafood was fresh, the risotto really well done and each item in the entrée was paired nicely, the one complimenting the other ingredients nicely. Dessert was simple and again, well prepared. Too many restaurants are trying to be too cool, too "front edge of the movement" and it can be off-putting. Marlowe knows what they're doing and what they do is make a dining experience enjoyable. Wait staff: or easier was absolutely fantastic. If he didn't genuinely enjoy what he was doing he sure faked it well. Every employee we interacted with was the same; if you asked a question or had a comment they actively listened and answered. Service was swift without being hurried. After dinner cappuccinos were well made and tasteful. Prices were average for the area/type of establishment. Strongly recommend Marlowe for the kind of dining that makes you feel spoiled without breaking your bank. Cheers!

One of our favorite restaurants in the city. We ordered seared skirt steak with chimichurri, over garlic mashed potatoes. Seared scallops over risotto, with baby asparagus and spicy red sliced red peppers and mashed fava beans. It was quite the presentation. Everything was delicious plus artisan cocktails. We've always had excellent service as well. Great establish and I highly recommend!
