first really enjoyable burrito and salsa I’ve had in San Francisco in a very long time as a seven year resident in the mission, it’s simple, not much to it, but flavorful.

I ordered the quesobirria tacos and they were so full of flavor, excellent quality and delicious! The 'consume' (birria soup) was a nice touch to dip the tacos in. They were crispy which added a nice crunch. I also tried the huitlacoche (vegetarian) quesadilla and was impressed by the tortilla which is corn and handmade. I recommend this Mexican food vendor. I will try the tamales next!

While visiting the Ferry Plaza farmers market, I had heard the chilaquiles here were great and this was the only place selling them. These are some of the best chilaquiles I've ever had, they are simple, just tortilla chips, salsa, egg (however you'd like), crema, and raw chopped red onion. The flavor is perfect, everything is perfectly seasoned and the crema is pleasant as the salsa is spicy. Be careful bc the heat will sneak up on you, I'm serious it's pretty spicy for most. I think they add habanero to their red salsa. Regardless, very tasty and a must try if you love Mexican food!

Mi Comedor is a real find, and my recent experience with a TooGoodToGo order left me thoroughly impressed!I stumbled upon Mi Comedor through the TooGoodToGo app, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be. When I arrived to pick up my order, the friendly guy behind the counter presented me with a tantalizing choice - pork or chicken. I opted for the pork, and boy, was I in for a treat! The portability of the meal was a game-changer, especially for someone like me who's always on the go. As I commuted back to my place, I couldn't wait to dig in. Opening the container revealed a colorful and mouthwatering assortment: black beans, Mexican rice, perfectly sliced avocados, salsa, and the star of the show - seasoned pork. What struck me immediately was how well-balanced the flavors were. The dish wasn't overly greasy, and it felt surprisingly light, which is a rarity for hearty Mexican cuisine. The seasoned pork was tender and flavorful, the black beans and rice were perfectly cooked, and the fresh salsa added a delightful zing. This meal from Mi Comedor exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I can't recommend Mi Comedor enough. Don't miss the chance to savor their delicious offerings, especially through TooGoodToGo - it's a win-win for your taste buds and the environment!

Great food ! The Carne Asada and Al Pastor Tacos are very good and were a highlight of my trip to the ferry building!

Maybe it was my fault for getting a chicken salad. It was just okay to me. I'll give this place another try and order something else and update my review at that point. The chicken was good, but there wasn't a ton of it. The salad has some nice touches with corn and a few other accoutrement, but for some reason it still tasted just a bit plain to me. The food was super fresh and served fast. I'll give them another try in a few weeks.

Had the cuitlacoche quesadilla with agua fresca fresa, perhaps the finest quesadilla I've ever had. The tortilla was corn, as it is in most of Mexico, not flour, large and thicker. Accompanying the delicious corn smut was the Mexican trifecta of chile, lime and cilantro. Heavenly.

Came here on a weekday after an appointment. Got the carne asada burrito. Burrito definitely seemed small when I got it but when I opened the foil wrap, the burrito was stuffed with ingredients (no empty space between anything!). Definitely satisfied with the portion and looking forward to trying some of their other items.

This review is for their stand at the Ferry Building!! They offer really speedy service, but most importantly good food! Their Mexican food doesn't feel heavy or greasy, and instead is fresh and light! Their stand is part of the Ferry Building Farmers Market. This is a great spot for tourists and locals alike to explore all sorts of food, ranging from veggie only stands to fancy cheeses to stands like Mi Comedor that serve prepared meals. Check the schedule, as the Farmers Market does not operate every day. But if you are in town on an operating day, I highly recommend carving out time to visit. It's held both inside/outside of an iconic building, and easily accessible right off Embarcadero BART/MUNI too.

Magnificent gorditas - crunchy, hot, rich, and flavorful. I will be coming back a million times over.

My sister and I tried this at the Tuesday Ferry Building Farmer's Market. It was nearing closing time, so there wasn't much of a line. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and my sister ordered a carne asada burrito. I also ordered a tamarind agua fresca-- I don't normally buy tamarind anything but I was thirsty, wanted agua fresca, and it was their only option. The quesadilla was good-- a little on the small side since I'm used to ordering giant quesadillas at the taquerias in the Mission. It also felt healthier (less greasy) than the quesadillas I'm used to, which I guess is a good thing... I fell in love with the tamarind agua fresca though and am now a tamarind convert. My initial sips were strange as it is not a flavor I'm used to in a beverage due to the tamarind and the spices, but as the ice melted and diluted it down a bit, I grew to like it more and more. I think the prices were super reasonable considering the location, though still on the pricier side. Worth it though for the excellent ingredients.

I never knew this place existed and now, I feel like my life is so much more fulfilled. I got two quesadillas, one chicken and one veggie and was honestly so impressed I wanted to reach back out to them and tell them how good the food was. I will definitely be coming back to this place. Put it on your list
