Best value tasting menu! Every menu item was delicious. Been there twice already. They change the menu every few days so there is always a reason to go back. Can’t believe they only charge $45.

Amazing. A-maz-ing!! AMAZING.Did I mention this place is amazing?I don't need to write anything except "amazing."Rotating tasting menu. 4 courses, whatever they're making and all tables served the same courses. The one constant is the second course is always an arepa, as a nod to the previous Latin America restaurant that occupied that space for generations.Last night, we enjoyed a green bean salad, arepa with the BEST chorizo I have had on this side of the Atlantic and a lamb shank that was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful.Amazing meal, amazing service, super cozy place, reservations available through Resy. Booked out, like 2-3 weeks.

I have had several wonderful experiences here but looking through some of the photos I noticed that the chef looks way different when I went there the guy was all tatted up like full sleeves and stuff and tattoos on his neck and the server was really tall I think his name was will he was super good too I really liked it but has it changed ownership?? Thanks for replying. I don't get up to the city much anymore, but I'm glad you're still there & I can feel great about recommending your spot to family & friends ?

Incredible! I was in love the moment I walked in — super cozy and intimate, every dish was so flavorful and beautifully presented, and Will was awesome to chat with. This place is truly a gem — fancy yet laid back, without the pretentious air of so many SF restaurants. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Will and Graham!Dietary restrictions: It’s clearly indicated that they don’t do substitutions (rightfully so, given the set up!). However, they ask in the reservations if there are food allergies and they were incredibly accommodating to my 2 allergies.

I first learned about this place from SFGate, a 45 dollar 4 course tasting? I thought it was too good to be true so I had to check it out. You can book a spot via resy, that's the easy part but finding an actual opening requires dedication and constant checking but it was worth it.I've arrived with a group of 5 for dinner. the outside is rather discreet, covered with black curtains, but the inside was warm and lovely. The restaurant is small and ran by two people the chef and waiter, who were both friendly and amicable. The food itself was spectacular and enjoyable. We started off with an invigorating buckwheat beef soup appetizer, followed by the restaurant's signature Arepas. After that our spirits were warmed by a wonderful braised lamb, paired with seasonal ingredients and we finished the night with a most joyous Earl Grey Pannacotta! The whole experience was worth 45, and it's worth bringing family, or a date if you wish to impress them without hurting your wallet too badly. Will come again!

I had a lovely time at Mr Pollo; the setting is small and intimate but cozy, the food is no frills and delicious, and overall such a nice vibe for a semi-nice dinner. It's a two man show of owner and chef! The whole place only seats about 12, and you definitely get close to your table neighbors since it's a squeeze. We chose the bar seating and it directly faces the kitchen and the chef. The chef was so nice and talked with us the whole night, sharing stories about his 22 year career or describing ingredients and where he gets them locally. You can really tell he cares about food and is so knowledgable! Apparently the menu changes every few days, but turns over completely every 2 weeks ish.We had a chilled green bean salad, chicken arepa, pork loin entree, and french apple pie for dessert. We also tried the daily pineapple guava soda. I left feeling full but not overly stuffed, and it's such a nice place to chill and have a lovely dinner w a friend or partner. Everything was delicious and plated right in front of us! The owner Will was also gracious and cheery.

Such a unique spot that makes for the perfect date night! It is reservations only so keep an eye out on Resy for when spots open up for this place. Came here on a Wednesday night and the service here is always great! It was my second time coming here with my boyfriend and because this place only seats 12 people it's definitely a more intimate setting. We both ordered a glass of wine and it's always exciting to see what you'll be served here! You don't know what you'll get until they bring it to you but that's part of the experience. The food quality is fresh and we had the green bean salad, chicken arepa, pork loin, and ended the night with an apple cake. Great food and a super fun experience!

This place came highly recommended by a friend and it did NOT disappoint! We loved the food variations here and all the different flavors. The owners were so welcoming and kind and chatty which was wholesome and made the experience more personal. The restaurant is small so it feels intimate - you can easily see the chef making each course! I know they change their menu all the time and you never really know what you're getting, but that's the fun of it. It's tough if you have various food allergies, but definitely make them aware of that in the very beginning or even when you make the booking. Will certainly be coming back and hopefully with friends!

Graham crafts a fantastic dinner. It's a two man operation, set in a humble atmosphere, an undeniably fulfilling experience. All the ingredients are locally sourced, you won't leave hungry, and the intimate setting provides for a unique experience we won't forget.

Great four course tasting menu. Had tomato salad with black seasame, plantain arepa, duck cannelloni, and apple cake for dessert. Every dish was excellent, I will be back soon.

Treated a friend here for her birthday. I think I became her favorite person of the evening!! She loved everything about it and so did I. Opened the door and there was this special space for only 12 guests and two restaurant people. Greeted and seated right away. Service was so timely and smooth. Enjoyed looking around for the paintings, decorative pollo objects, and the chef's cooking and plating. Every bite I had was so good that I didn't want this meal to end. I guess I'll have to return for more and hope that'll be soon!!

We sat at the counter and had a really fun chat with Graham while enjoying dinner. The food is absolutely interesting and delicious! All the ingredients are sourced from local farmers market and made from scratch, including the sesame sauce in the tomato salad and the pickled olives which were cured for several months. The menu changes every few weeks so we’ll definitely be back again!
