the staff are super friendly and recommended me their favorites. I got the strawberry matcha croissant which was light and flaky inside with the perfect amount of filling and generous toppings. I can tell it was made with high quality butter as it held together well without breaking into a greasy mess. it also wasn't too sweet and was complemented by the tanginess of the strawberry cream. the financier was not dry and still soft despite being buckwheat based. the menu is super exciting and I will definitely be back to try other pastries (especially the Sunday menu)

They really make the most amazing croissants! You can really feel the layers in the pastries and the flavour profiles are also great. The char siu croissant is made to perfection and I would always go back for it. Careful when transporting it if you’re take it to go though, because the oil will probably leak from the paper bag. The everything croissant is a great close second.

Love love love Neighbor Bakehouse! The most unique, well balanced pastries served up by really sweet staff. There's no seating barring some outdoor tables on the sidewalk, and the line gets really long on the weekends. The shop itself is small and they let people in one by one. This time we got two of their specials -- the matcha strawberry croissant, and the osmanthus fruit tart. BOTH were truly scrumptious! The croissant had a very strong matcha custard filling balanced perfectly by the tart icing on top. The croissant is buttery yet flaky. The tart had an osmanthus custard filling and jelly cubes on top. The flavor was lightly floral, but what really impressed me was the crust. It's hard to get the shortcrust base right even for the best of bakeries, and neighbor does it perfectly. I will say that the main bake shop does all items the best. They supply pastries to coffee shops in the city and I find that sometimes those can be stale -- so come here for the goods.

Everything was 5 star presentation and taste. Definitely try the daily specials! The Earl Grey filling was perfect with notes of rose & bergamot a beautifully carefully arranged pinwheel with pansy petal. The toffee crunch tart base was a nice touch. The creamy green macha filled strawberry pastry was delicious... also visually delightful...green and white miniature chocolate balls on a pink buttercream bed.

I visited this place only once but had tried their pastries in couple of coffee shops around SF. Their bakery is definitely good and the variety is great! The only thing that disappointed me when I came to their Dogpatch spot was that “coffee service was stopped at 2pm” Which was kinda weird to me because the bakery hours are 8-4, and coffee would obviously add to the pastry experience. Got a cup of water instead. But Banana Bostock and Pistachio Blueberry Croissant were really fresh and flavorful.

This is our The Best ever French Bakery in the Bay Area! Their service only to go but location is very close to Crane Cow park that's amazing, peaceful point of Potrero Hill.

The only thing that disappointed me when I came to their Dogpatch spot was that "coffee service was stopped at 2pm" Which was kinda weird to me because the bakery hours are 8-4, and we were there around 2:15. Coffee would obviously add to the pastry experience but we got a couple of cups of water to enjoy our sweets. Nevertheless Banana Bostock and Pistachio Blueberry Croissant were really fresh and flavorful and it was nice to seat outside as the weather was lovely that day.

Aside from the horrendous parking (or lack of I should say) Neighbor Bakehouse serves some of the most fresh and flakiest croissants that I've had in San Francisco in a very long time. The flavors are Asian inspired from the char siu croissant to the pandan inspired drinks. The employees are extremely sweet and helpful when providing suggestions so don't be afraid to ask for recommendations or try new flavors! There is usually a bit of a queue no matter what time of day you arrive, but I recommend arriving as early as possible so they don't run out of pastries!

Honestly my favorite croissants in SF! I discovered this place while waiting for brunch in the area. The croissants here were way better than the brunch I was waiting for, I would skip it and come here next time! I love the creativity of this place, they are doing asian fusion right!! I was drawn here because their baked goods very super unique and featured flavors that I love like rose, matcha, guava, etc. Matcha Strawberry Croissant Bun: 10/10! Very flakey croisant topped with strawberry custard (it wasn't too sweet like frosting even though it looks like it would be) with dots of mango jam and filled with matcha custard. Not too sweet and perfectly balanced for a croissant. It felt refreshing to eat this instead of a traditional overly sweet chocolate almond croissant. Char siu Croissant: 8/10 Also very flakey croissant texture. I thought it was a very creative take on a char siu bao. There was cabbage under the pork which a threw me off a little but made it feel more like an eating a real meal. There was a line but it moved pretty fast, way faster than the other very hyped croissant place in SF. I would ditch that line and come here!

I love Neighbor Bakehouse and come here often as I live close by. My only gripe is that they have very limited savory vegetarian options. It doesn’t seem like there is much besides the potato curry bourek and mushroom tart. Again, I love them so much just wish for more variety!

This bakery is a must try if your in Dogpatch! It is small inside but has a little outdoor seating area. Everything about this place has been exceptional. Whenever my family comes into town they love buying the fresh baked bread to take home with them. (Come early because they do run out close to closing) The pastries are very creative, beautiful, and not overly sweet. Some of my recent favs have been the cruffin and milk tea bars. The coffee is also great quality. Never tastes too burnt or sour. The prices are reasonable especially for the quality.

Really great unique flavors and desserts - kind and warm hosts and service. Nice open seating area outside but I came after their coffee serving ended.

Dear god. Run don't walk. This place is top of the line, giving me all California/French/Asian/Pacific Islander bakery flavors I could hope for. Not too sweet or creamy, can be a little rich, but it is a bakery with all them creams. High quality flavors, beautiful presentation. Everything is so good, worth every penny.
