My brother brought me to Nena's restaurant and had their pupusas. I've been back three times now and love their soups. Delicious with all the vegetables, beef or chicken.. The service was nice and the hot 'Atol de Elote' was sweet and 100% authentic. Loroco, chicharon n cheese pupusas are my favorite, the red sauce and pickled cabbage 'curtido' topping to complement the freshness to make it complete.

I really liked this little place. Food more than anything has a lot of flavor and does it just like in El Salvador. The typical breakfast gave me memories of when I ate at my aunt's house in Chalatenago. I went with my uncle and aunt too and the soup I ordered was one of my favorites. Everything is worth it, cooked very well and traditional ?? and those who work there give me good memories of El Salvador ?

Cash only, but there's an ATM at Safeway and the corner store nearby. Highly recommend the pupusas, which are about $3.25 to $3.50 each.

Delicious atole de elote - so rich, so nicely spiced - and zucchini pupusa at Nena's in Bernal Heights! Knowing Spanish definitely helps if you want to order, though. We may have had an adventure. ?Vegetarian options: They exist!Parking: Street parking

The owner/employee was very rude, I don't recommend going to that place because the way they treat customers is horrible!!!
