This is not a fancy Chinatown tourist trap. It's a humble Chinese diner with excellent food and good portions. Two people might share a rice plate with some side dumplings. I had the beef with mixed vegetables plate. Came with a small soup and a piping hot dumpling. Everything was super fresh and came straight from wok to table in seconds. Looks like old school family run place. For what one gets it's a bargain in this day and age.I saw many locals who kibbitzed in Mandarin with the staff. How do you say kibbitzed in Mandarin?? They almost to a person ordered a pork dish, apparently a specialty, that looked terrific on the plate. That'll be my next meal here...Under 15 bucks with 2 cups of tea out the door. It's right off the alley where Red's Place is...

We ordered and ate something completely different, but it was delicious and fresh :) Communication was difficult, but it's worth tasting the real Chinese culture and atmosphere. It doesn't look like it, but it's really worth it.

It's got a divey atmosphere, a western inspired menu that made it's way from Hong Kong, but it's got a warm place in my heart and every meal comes with a big gaau-ji (gyōza).

the food is ok but there is no washroom and network. It’s funny that I saw the waiter tried to catch the network from the nearby store to launch the ATM. Also the environment is not clean.
Pretty good cheap prime rib meal, which includes rice, corn, house soup, one potsticker and a cup of tea. Especially loved the house soup (comforting) and potsticker (very crispy outside, juicy filling). The seasoning on the prime rib is nice. As one may expect from cheap prime rib, it isn’t the most tender or juicy, but the soy sauce-y jus helps it a bit. I honestly look forward to trying the other items (esp short rib, ox tail and pork chop).

If some influencer got you checking out this place, it's going to leave you disappointed.New Lun Ting has been around forever. Ownership and cook are not the same as it used to be. It's a far departure from its golden days. They're known for their roast pork with gravy but it's become bland and lackluster. They also boast a prime rib special but you truly get what you pay for and you're better off going somewhere else. Both dishes are more disappointing than bringing home bad grades to Asian parents. After paying, the waitress chased us for additional tip which we were incredibly befuddled. This place is meant to be skipped.

This is a small restaurant with one waitress and 2 ladies cooks, the lamb stew is delicious, the rib eye is okay. The service can't complain. The menu said will serve coffee but they changed, only one cup of hot tea!The price is reasonable !

Saw this highly rated spot on yelp with the wife in Chinatown. Exterior didnt look like much, but totally glad we found it. Quickly sat for a Fri afternoon lunch. Food was delicious, pricing was worth it (good portions). Hostess was very polite and super sweet. We will be back next time we are in SF.

The food was delicious. My favorite was the dumplings so good! The service was also very good. The server made sure we were well taken care of. Definitely recommend to anyone coming through Chinatown! Very good value as well the price was very reasonable!
