I miss this place so much! It was the best Ethiopian food in San Francisco. I dream of the spicy okra dish. I hope they are well and reopening soon.

I miss oasis so much! I regularly came here for dinner and lunch. The veggie combo was ridiculously delicious and filling.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! The veggie combo is absolutely amazing. The owner and staff are always friendly. Great neighborhood spot.

The food was authentic and delicious. Real teff flour in the injera! Can't wait to go back. Go for the food.

This is an awesome restaurant cafe and I am so distraught they've had to shutter due to a horrendous fire (and subsequent water damage) that damaged all the equipment. Our writing club has always come here, sometimes for plain fare, sometimes for authentic Ethiopian dishes, and always for the freshly brewed coffee and blended fruit smoothies. It's a welcoming and charming little place, and I really hope they return better than ever!

We came here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The flavors were great, and the platter was large enough for two.

So yum. The veggie platter is my fav. Friendly folks. Not many options at all for Ethiopian in SF, so I'm glad this is 5 star place!

It was amazing! We ordered a vegetarian combo that came with injera. It was scrumptious. It came with 5 sides and every single one of them was yum. The food portion is big and it can be easily shared by two people. The food felt light and filling. Every item on the vegetarian combo was freshly made. But I guess the starter we ordered was a frozen item which was refried. It tasted well but it was a bit dry. I am not a fan of frozen and reheated items. Nevertheless, I stick with 5 stars because their food was very tasty overall and the staff was kind too. You have good vegetarian and non-vegetarian options here.

It was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine, and honestly, I'm so in love. Haile was helpful, friendly, and patient as we were figuring out what we wanted to eat, and answered all our questions. The food itself was generously portioned and filling. I liked everything on the Vegetarian Combo, and really appreciated that there were so many vegetarian options. Also, the coffee was amazing. I'm not a strong coffee drinker (My preferred coffees are more dessert than coffee), but I tried some at Haile's recommendation, and it was so flavorful; no sugar, no cream needed. Like, it was good cold the next day :ONeedless to say, 10/10 wonderful food and experience (^^)bVegetarian options: Vegetarian combos Parking: Street parking

Oasis Cafe is on Divisadero and McAllister. I have been walking by and it advertises a hamburger but if you look closer at the menu, they serve Ethiopian food. I have eaten at New Eritrea restaurant on Irving last year. This year I am trying "chicken tibs" with injera. It's pricey at $18 altogether. The chicken has a sauce and some onions and peppers. Wrap it with injera. This is how they eat Ethiopian food I guess and how nice to try it in the USA.

Very charming setting. Delicious food in big portions. Nice jazz playing in the background.
