I landed in San Francisco and was completely famished and this place had a zero minute wait time. The service was so-so from our server, primarily because I’m not partial to indifferent mannerisms. However, the back wait staff was wonderful and so was the Maitre’D. The Hamachi dish I had was subpar to say the least, and I would not recommend it and sadly the Bronzino taste like burnt nothing. After sending both dishes back initially, I ordered the lobster and it was superlative! It was tender and delicious. The mac & cheese, prepped gratin style, is incredible. I think that alone probably helps you select your entrée choices. The Albariño with the lobster is an excellent pairing, and perhaps the Dungeness crab might be a great starter option. The seats are a win-win and chefs kiss for comfort.

Me and my husband decided to check out this restaurant before our comedy show, we did not have a reservation however the hostess Paula was there before it opened and was able to get us into a table. A very nice secluded table at that! She was so sweet and so courteous especially for a last minute walk in on a business Saturday night. Thank you Paula !! Our server was amazing as well and the food was phenomenal! 5 star all the way !

This restaurant is amazing. Beautifully decorated, amazing food, and a great wait staff. I went here for a meal with fellow co-workers and the entire experience was amazing. The cheesy bread was to die for, the calamari was top notch, the French onion soup was delicious, and all the sides were perfect, especially, believe it or not, the carrots. I ordered the bone in ribeye, which was expensive but well worth every penny. If I'm going to spend $90 on a steak, it better be the best steak I've ever had and it absolutely was. I will forever compare any steak I've ever had to this one. If you are in San Francisco, you need splurge and to go to those restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

My 12 oz bone in filet had a nice crust on it but was undercooked and underseasoned. I'd expect a bit better for a $70 steak. Service was attentive.

I ordered the Akaushi ribeye, which is like a Japanese Wagyu expecting it to be amazing. But it wasn't. Even with the a poivre sauce (extra.charge) it still lacked flavor. It was a slow Sunday night so our waiter also doubled as the bartender. He was okay but lacked the polish of what you'd expect of a waiter from a high-end Steakhouse. On a positive note, the kitchen split our french onion soup into two cups which was nice of them. If I'm ever back in San Francisco looking for a steak dinner, I'm going to try Harris's.

Everything was fantastic. We ordered the nightly special: a 10 oz NY steak. It was wonderful. Scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach also delish. Service is good because they know not to bother you when your friend is in the middle of a good story. (In my opinion, this is the highest level of service and they do it well.) Restaurant decor is understated and beautiful. Noise levels remain are low (even when the restaurant is crowded). Definitely make reservations because sometimes Osso is full and you won't get in. Oh yes, the bar is really good too. It's a cosy, neighborhood bar and sometimes they have bar tables available for drinks and snacks.

Great experience! Not sure why we have not had Osso Steakhouse on our radar before last night, but it won't be our last for sure. Loved the dry-aged ribeye—cooked to perfection.

Steaks were thin and both were overcooked - we ordered them medium rare and they were medium+ to medium well. Had to send them both back which I hate to do. Of course, the new steaks came back rare as if we don't know what medium rare looks like and are uninformed restaurant guests. Ate them anyway. Service is always professional and excellent. Ambiance is why I come back despite the fact that overcooking my steak and then getting rare steak has happened more than one time in the past 7-8 visits. I will probably have to make this a cheeseburger trip rather than continue to be disappointed in the steaks.

We had an exceptional dinner at Osso Steakhouse. We arrived a few hours before a comedy show at The Masonic, which gave us time to relax and enjoy a romantic dinner. The service was warm and attentive, the food was delicious, and so good, and the ambiance was perfect for date night, deco with modern touches. We'll be back, even if we don't have a show to attend next door.

Amazing, top notch, and genuinely the most personable service I've ever received, and I come from the industry. On top of that, the food was epic. Every bite was delicious. Only regret is that my reservation for party didn't come with 5 extra stomachs so we could eat it all!

3.75/5 Old school typa feel restaurant. Service was excellent, wish I remembered waiters name(he had black nails). Have to take the elevator downstairs to the restroom which was a little weird. ~Food~ Calamari: never have i ever had soggy, non-crispy calamari. 0.5/5 Cheesy bread: For sure made sense why this picture popped up so often, the hype was real! Honestly might've been the best dish here. Crispy on the outside, cheesy(garlicky?) on the inside... perfection! 5/5 Ribeye: One of the best steaks I've ever had. Couldn't have cooked it better. Our waiter said it's cooked so well it didn't need sauce and he was 100% correct. Ordered some for a little flair but was honestly better without it. 5/5 Romaine wedge: Nice and refreshing. Trying to get the taste buds for blue cheese and this was a nice starter, wasn't too strong. 4/5 Potatoes au gratin: It was ok, nothing special. 3/5 French onion soup: Really basic. Was hoping for a little something different but tastes more like something you can grab for a couple bucks at a cafe. 2.5/5 ~Deserts~ Both of them were excellent. Just the right amount of sweetness. Would come back just for the steak and bread honestly. If you wanted to keep it simple, these 2 dishes are all you need here!

Say at the bar and enjoyed an incredible dinner. Bone In Rib eye, mushrooms and fries. Started with a wedge, chopped and tossed. Cocktails were delicious and on point. The chocolate hazelnut dessert finished it off. Delicious.
