Their Saturday lunch special, the halwa Puri, is just the best. This is what your plate should look like after. lol.

Food was great but service and atmosphere I was really disappointed in! The cashier let us stare at the Today’s specials forever before she showed us there was a menu. We dined in and took a number placard only to find out we had to get back up to get our food. The whole vibe of the restaurant just seemed empty and a lack of energy.

I ordered in person and dined in, and when my order of chicken biryani was announced ready to pick up, I was shocked by the size of this dish. The plate was heaped over. Even better was the fact there were chunks of chicken throughout the dish. The large portion size for the price point is an excellent value. The interior is nice, clean, and minimalistic. There is plenty of seating for dining in, but it's also conveniently located for takeout, as there is plenty of street parking.

Indian food and Pakistani food feel almost similar, and Pakwan doesn't skimp on ingredients and has plenty of spices, so it was the first time in a long time that I was able to eat delicious curry. It would be best not to expect much in terms of service level, but the tipping order is high ㅜㅜ.

Pakwan Restaurant offers amazing food surpassing all other locations, along with spacious seating despite limited parking. Situated in a safe neighborhood for walking, it provides excellent prices for San Francisco standards. The biryani is exceptional, though some patrons may find the music selection a bit outdated.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome

Great spot for a small group with booths for 4-6 people and also tables for 2. Order at the counter and get a number. The goat curry was really good and even came with bone marrow in our dish. Lamb biryani was large and leftovers lasted another couple days. Appreciate the naan and whole wheat roti option. Saag dal had large buttery lentils. Great casual spot.

Did a takeout. Got way too much oil. It was literally a deep layer of oil, and you had to fish out the veggies from underneath.
