I did a bad review but when I went back it was so much better and the owner or manager is so nice and will message you if you give a bad review. I am sorry for the bad review

I shared on hotel site. Busy Sunday afternoon & we loved our meals; Perfect flat iron steak with small salad included & friend loved fish & chips. We were visiting on a Sunday & a local friend recommended & we had a leisurely lunch with a full dining room. Our waiter & other staff were wonderful. Nice non-alcoholic drink; lemonade, tea AND Pineapple juice.. Coffee served in tiny cups. Difficult to get refills or water refills, but we did. Suggest an espresso machine, as Perfect addition. Enjoyed an apple dessert.Parking: Take bus or Lyft or taxi on weekends. Unknown about weekdays.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids & grassy outdoor area & seating, but gale force winds kept diners inside & families went out to run & walk around.

Great location, decent food, terrible service. I was sat outside in their beautiful grass area, which was my sole consolation while it took 10 minutes to be greeted by my waiter. During that time, I saw the hosts sit a lovely black couple at a table that had not been cleared of dirty dishes, then watched as that couple sat there unhappily for 5 minutes with neither a greeting nor the table being cleared, until they gave up in frustration and left. My server eventually came, took my order, delivered water for me and my dog as requested, and that was the last I saw of her until she finally brought the check. My food (lobster Mac) was good, and came when you'd expect, so the kitchen is doing good work. My drink hadn't come yet (sever AWOL), so I asked the runner to grab it, and it eventually came albeit about 8 minutes into eating my meal, after I had long run out of water. The server never came by to ask how everything was, or see that I had everything. It also took about 20 minutes after I finished for her to bring the check. As someone who has worked as a server in a tourist-heavy fine dining restaurant, I know the steady supply of customers creates a risk that the wait staff will grow lazy or indifferent, or will selfishly prioritize tables she thinks will pay out in tips. While I sat there with nary a check in, I watched my server greet a 7-top and take their order. Perhaps that's what is going on here, and with how that black couple was treated. Regardless, as a 15-year resident of SF, when I have family and friends visit, I'll take them somewhere that isn't taking our business for granted. Also, I tried telling all this directly to a manager, rather than write a bad review, only to be kept waiting until I eventually gave up on doing the right thing. Alas.

I got sat next to the piano and it was hard to hear people at my table but that's more of a personal preference. Got the fish and chips and it tasted like someone caught it and brought it in just for me fresh fresh

We were waiting to be seated and two different group of white folks walked up and demanded to be seated without being on the wait list. Found that a little rude especially for the brown folks waiting patiently on the side.

We arrived at the restaurant 40 minutes earlier than our reservation, there were many tables available. The young female host(Andrea Tejeda) said we would have to wait until our reservation time, which was totally fine. But then, I noticed three parties who had reservations after ours being seated by this young female host, even the walked in customers were seated. I went to ask her, but she just continued talking to the people who had just come in and ignored me. Finally, I managed to ask her if our table was ready. She said I had to wait until our reservation time was up, and she continued leading the customers in without having them wait for their reservation time is up. By the time of our reservation, she still hadn't called us. At the same time, a party with a reservation 20 minutes later to our reservation arrived, which is not even their time yet! and she led them to a table immediately. How incredible and ridiculous is this?! If my family hadn't been very tired, we would've gone to another place that knows how to serve its customers. This place is nice, but it's terrible to have someone like this working here. I'm not sure she goes by race or other preferences to 'take care' of their customers.

If you want really poor service then this is the place you want to go to. Food is ordinary, they really go the extra mile to make the service experience exceptionally poor.

This was our second time there. I am a pickier eater, but don't have a problem finding something that I enjoy. All the food was super delicious. I do like the casual atmosphere there as well. Definitely will be going back!!

Good food and drink, worst possible service and management.8min to place drink order and another 30min for drinks to arrive.Management places only 3 waiters which must take every order and deliver all drinks. Complete waste of resources and revenue as folks often order a second drink not meals, but can't with the pathetic service.Waiters have mixed sections and it takes an average of 15min for your waiter to finally appear; incredibly frustrating.I've been coming here regularly for over a decade and nothing has changed; perhaps I am the fool.Better management and this place would print money.

Beautiful view of the park in a wonderfully historical building. The food was fantastic but don’t leave without seeing all the tile work and frescoes. It’s real San Francisco.
