PROS: Edible. Lady was polite. The other food looked decent. CONS: Stale bread, not much filling, way overpriced at $13 for a banh mi. I was expecting much more based on the 4.3 star rating. Missing that classic banh mi flavor. I hate giving bad reviews but this was utterly disappointing. We got 1 chicken, 1 pork banh mi. Lee's sandwiches would've been way better.

I was looking for a place to buy lunch while waiting for my dad at SF Endoscopy. Parking is very hard here. Busy streets and busy businesses. Meter parking if you don't mind paying. Residential parking is 1-2 hours. It's a really cute and simple cafe/sandwich shop. The lady asked if I want to come back or wait. I told her I'll wait. I'm not in a rush and take her time. When she was done with my sandwiches, she called out for me. She was really sweet. I order 3 sandwiches- -pork bahn mi -chicken bahn mi -tuna melt Pork bahn mi had a lot of meat, juicy, tender and a bit fatty which was perfect balance for bread condiment meat portion, just a bit salty. Love they use an Italian toasted bread. I do not like the regular French baguette bread. Chicken bahn mi was perfect! Literally perfect! Tuna melt was kind of disappointing. There wasn't much flavor. Huge chunks of meat but no flavor. My dad mixed half the tuna with his chicken sandwich and said it was much better together. I would come back if I'm over there to try the other sandwiches and salads. Their prices are very reasonable for their sizes. You won't have to worry about breaking your wallet.

Everything's good; especially, get the Saigon Chicken Salad (or its tofu variation). Today, I got the salads and soup du jour.

Great little place in a quiet neighborhood. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and filling. Had the chicken banh mi and it was delicious. Very friendly people as well.

For years this place was my lunch spot on most days during the work week when CPMC CAL Campus was open. Truly a Mom and Pop spot and the love they put into the food is evident. I crave it often and sometimes our department, that is now at the Davies Campus, will get a big order together and someone will pick it up. It's always a treat. Some of my earliest memories in SF were sitting in this cafe. It's truly a nostalgic place for me. Most days the Salmon plate sells out, so if you see that they have salmon available- order it! You can't go wrong with any soup or sandwich or salad and never skip the opportunity for their fried rolls! If you make this a destination for lunch, it'll be worth it. They crank out a lot of pickup/to go orders but dining in sometimes just feels comforting to me in this cozy spot that's tucked into this PAC Heights/Laurel Village area.

Cozy shop in the middle of a neighborhood. Service was very hospitable from the man and lady who came behind the counter and the back. Food was as good as an authentic banh mi can get. I got the chicken and pork options.

The pork belly Vietnamese sandwich was amazing. Anna and Tony were so kind, have run this family business for 30 years. She even brought me slices of watermelon while eating inside ?

They did not accept one of their older gift certificates when it is against California law to have an expiration on gift cards. Plus this certificate had no printed expiration date anyway. Unfortunate that a highly talked of place like this would act this way.
