Waited an hour before I could put an order in. I was seriously considering leaving and finding another spot. Great that they don't overcook their chicken and the food was decent overall.

Really cute spot on the top floor - easy to miss. We went right around closing for lunch but they still seated us and served us right away. Nice large portions and the thai iced tea was delicious! Will come again :)))

HANDS DOWN - THE BEST Pad Thai I've ever had!... home kitchen perfection - you'll be pleasantly surprised! Large portions!

Good food. Terrible service. After waiting patiently for a takeout order I arrived to pickup on time. Staff said almost ready wait 10 more minutes - but they haven’t actually started cooking. After 10 minutes they updated my wait time to another 20 minutes. Come back 30 minutes later still not ready. The staff were extremely rude. This has happened before here

I have been getting take out here for over 10 years now. It is such a classic family run Thai restaurant. Every dish brings comfort food to the pallet and the upstairs apartment style dinning area makes you feel like you are eating at home.My favorite dishes are:- Mango Panang Curry- Fresh Spring rolls (ask for peanut sauce to dip in)- Spicy Tofu Appetizer (it's not spicy but super yummy)

Food is reasonably good, but the portions are low for the price and they took 45 minutes to make my order when the dining area was only half full, after telling me repeatedly my order would be coming very soon for 20 minutes. Maybe just order take out.

Amazing all around! Great food and large portion sizes, attentive staff, and cute decor. Definitely get the crab noodles and the vegetarian curry puffs, and check out their daily specials!

A classic and favorite of mine - this place will always be my go to Thai place! The food is authentic and flavorful, with decent portion sizes. My favorites have been the roti prata with curry, the yellow curry, the spicy basil rice plate, the spicy chicken wings, and...basically everything. Every time I have ordered from Ploy II - whether dining in or taking out - I have not been disappointed. The ambiance is cozy and homey, like a classic SF apartment that was converted into a spacious dining area with lots of tables. It makes you feel like you're at a friend's mom's house, excitedly anticipating the delicious food she's cooked up for you. Shout out to Tony, who remembers my friend and I as soon-to-be regulars (we have a pact to try every item on the menu). He is there everyday, working hard with a great attitude and eagerness to serve you good food and a good experience. During the pandemic, it seems the restaurant has moved towards compostable dinnerware. Not sure if that is to decrease contact between customers or if their business has been negatively impacted by the pandemic and are short staffed - either way, it just makes me want to bring more friends here! Highly HIGHLY recommend trying this place! And once you've tried it, go again! And let me know if you beat me to eating your way through the whole menu.

Amazing food always, and the service workers are always super sweet. An institution of Haight street for over a decade.

Came here with three friends for dinner. Our server was SUPER kind, friendly, and speedy (personally was very impressed that he didn't write our orders down but instead memorized them!) The food was good and reasonably priced! Best of all, the portions were quite large too (two of us had to get to go boxes!)

Yummmmm! The staff is attentive and very nice! The restaurant was upstairs and it had a nice little view of the busy street. The food was delicious! I got the papaya salad (delicious; wish it was spicier), mango panang curry (10/10; I loved the hint of mango), pad kee mao (11/10; noodles were the best part)!

Best Chinese food in San Francisco l. Seriously. Fresh veggies even the peas in the fried rice are fresh. So great!

Pretty cool hole in the wall place in the Haight district. Great service but don't be expecting this place to be fancy or even use silver ware (they use paper plates and plastic utensils). Kinda wasteful but whatever. Don't get me wrong the food was decent, I had the pad see ew as usual, solid flavors not the best but also not the worst. A good mix of sweet and spicy, the chicken was a bit dry, but the noodles absorbed the sauces really well. I'm glad I came and tried it, but I don't think I would again.

This restaurant is as cute and quaint as San Francisco can get! A renovated home style restaurant with picnic table vibes from the plaid table clothes to the disposable (at the moment) table sets. I had the Panang curry with vegetables and tofu which was perfectly flavored coming out piping hot. A side of rice was necessary and being the youthful degenerate i am i had the Thai beer to compliment the meal perfectly. Will be returning!
