After eating fish and chips, I feel like the British really know how to eat.

The food was very good. And the restaurant wasn't busy, so we got seated right away. Our waitress was quick and friendly. The swamp water tea was delicious, if a little small for $6. Fried Okra was great. I enjoyed my Po' Boy sandwich, it was a bit messy, but the oysters were flavorful. My husband thought the ribs were perfectly cooked, and enjoyed his beans. The only real disappointment was the Sweet Potato Fries which were limp and soft. The outside seating made it so we could enjoy the pleasant afternoon weather.

This place is worth going out of your way to try. I have had most of the menu and yet to have anything less than excellent. Their fish and chips are by far the best in San Francisco or for that matter London. I lived next to one of the most popular fish and chip spots in London...Po Boys way better. Everything else from the Jambalaya to the fried chicken are also excellent.. It is a low key neighborhood spot so nothing fancy but prices are fair, portions large and food consistently awesome.

Most authentic shrimp and grits, jambalaya, seafood, chicken, fried chicken and anything else you could think of from the south.....five star plus the owner is wonderful along with his wife and daughter who worked in the business....highly recommend this for casual southern food experience. Best shrimp and grits that I have ever had even better than in New Orleans or the Carolinas

Great authentic Cajun food. One of the best fried okras I've had. Loved the gumbo too.

Amazing southern restaurant right off 18th! It's a small place with some seating outside and inside! Food is incredible, the chicken and the fish were super crispy. The chicken was really juicy and all the sides were delicious. I'm not usually a fan of thick fries but these were well seasoned and crispy. Will definitely be added to my favorites!

Got take out and I was served inedible fries with my fish and chips - they were literally as hard as a rock and I could not break them into chewable pieces with my teeth. The fish was delicious, but the fries were actually from the freezer and unthawed. My girlfriend’s Cesar salad was boring af yet $15? Not sure what the hype is about the place, they’re not even Cajun

This place is a lovely little spot on Potrero hill! Whether you are walking by for a little beignet snack or want a filling and warming gumbo- you won't find yourself waiting long for some authentic home made Cajun food.

Nice cozy restaurant, plenty of public parking. Service was great, nice host and food came out in a timely manner. But the food was ok at most, I was looking for gumbo and this place popped up on my search so why not give them a try. We ordered a small gumbo, not much flavor and was really runny as if they didn't make a roux. Got the fried chicken plate which the waiter mentioned it would be a 20min wait which is ok with me because that meant I would get some hot freshly fried chicken. Not the case, it wasn't as hot and crispy as I expected, flavor was ok. Another dish we ordered was the calamari and I gotta say what we got didn't match the picture on their menu. The picture looked fresh and ours was the frozen kind you get from a box you get at your local grocery store freezer. Everything else we ordered was ok nothing great. Would we come back... maybe just to give the other items a try!

Great little spot! Loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in. They had black and white movies on the TV which added to the ambiance. The staff seated us as soon as we arrived and were very kind and courteous. But most of all the food was great! Can't go wrong with the shrimp poboy! Also the swamp water tea was great! And you can't miss out on the beignets! Amazingly light and fluffy! A great spot for sure!
