We worked with Alison to design our perfect wedding cake, and we were blown away with the results. She offered a take-home tasting box which worked great fir my wife and I's busy schedules. There was great collaboration in the design and the cake was delivered directly to our reception venue right on time! Highly recommend for wedding or any other cakes!

BEWARE - Pretty Pathetic: I contacted Alison over 2 months from my daughters 3rd bday, this would be my 3rd cake ordered within the last three years, so I'm familiar with the process. I provided Alison everything she requested yet it took her 11 days before my daughters bday to start drafting the contract and another 7 days until she would be able to provide a mock of what the cake would look like. When I expressed concerns and requested for her to call me she replied by suggesting that I find another shop just 10 days before my daughters bday whereas she requires a 2 month notice. What's much more disturbing and disgusting isn't how she treats past customers, but how she has no empathy knowing this cake is for a 3 year old kid. Please read the email exchange as her words can paint a much better picture of her as a person than I can.

Every year we go to Pretty Please Bake Shop to make our daughters birthday cake and they never fail to make a beautiful and delicious cake! Whether it's Pokemon, Rainbow Unicorn or this year a cake for a painting themed party they always produce something outstanding and the cake is always a huge talking point and tastes amazing too! The cakes are always sturdy too, no matter what we ask for they withstand card journeys and sometimes being prodded by excited little fingers!! They are easy to deal with, they will deliver and they also make other treats like cake pops too. I cannot speak highly enough of them, their work is top notch! 10/10 A++++

I have not yet tried their creations, but I want to pass along this from their website FAQ to all worried they have shut down -- not so! -- "As of April 1, 2021, our brick and mortar retail location is closed, however our desserts are still available for pre-order. Give us a call! 415.347.3733"

Pretty please bakery had delicious pies last year and the year before. When I went to buy a pie a few weeks ago they had their windows papered over. Their website was still up, and a machine answered the phone. Covid has done a lot of businesses in, and it appears to have closed this one. My husband and I are very sad, and hope maybe they just moved or something.

This review is long over due. I was in the market for a local bakery to make my wedding cake and I was recommended about this bake shop from a coworker, and I am so happy I ended up going with them. I had emailed them for a wedding cake tasting. They got back to me in a timely manner. I was able to choose 4 flavors to sample and made an appointment. Alison, the owner met with us for the wedding appointment and I had brought some ideas of what I wanted the cake to look like. We went with a 3 tier cake: raspberry vanilla, red velvet, and raspberry vanilla. Their cake was moist, soft, and not too sweet. All the flavors were perfectly balanced and not too overpowering sweet. We also got some mini cupcakes: red velvet, salted caramel, lemon meringue, raspberry vanilla. The day of our wedding, they delivered the cake and we were absolutely speechless at how beautiful it came out. The sugared flowers looked so real even our florist couldn't tell they were made from sugar. Overall our experience was beautiful, we will definitely order from them again for another important occasion.

With a gauntlet of family birthdays in summer and fall, I turned to Pretty Please Bakeshop to inject some fun, humor and sweetness into the pandemic grind. They rose to every challenge with pleasant professionalism and created palatable confections that were also a visual feast. Octonauts cupcakes? Fairy themed sweets assortment? Basketball jersey cake? No problem! A wonderful bright spot in a bleak year, Pretty Please earned this rave review and my enduring thanks.
My wife usually likes to have a big birthday party, but during this weird Covid time, we decided to stay home and have a cat-themed birthday party this year. A few weeks before her birthday, my wife mentioned that she would really love to have a birthday cake that looks like our cat. So I Yelped and Googled a bit, and found that Pretty Please Bakeshop makes a Tiger Cake, which looked kind of like our cat, but with tiger colors instead of gray and white. After a few quick emails, I ordered a customized Tiger Cake for pickup on the morning of my wife's birthday. Long story short, my wife was thrilled and the cake was delicious. (It was super moist and chocolatey) Highly recommended! The ordering process was pretty easy, the cake was ready for pickup at the appointed time, and most importantly, the wife was thrilled and the cake was delicious!
