The service wasn’t great, but the sushi is awesome I gotta say. I wouldn’t get the onigiri again though, it’s fried on both sides for some reason and it just kinda ruined it for me. Some of them were burnt too so that definitely didn’t help. I would probably order their stuff to go next time.

I just ordered from Uber Eats! Can I just say phenomenal! I always want an extra side of ell sauce, yum yum sauce and believe it or not extra cream cheese with my sushi! They packaged my food up with care and it tasted delectable. I mean downright mouth watering! I enjoyed every single bit.

Wow this place was amazing! The restaurant is really clean. There is a fun vibe as you enter the restaurant. There are separate seating areas. The main room where they have regular tables. Theres also private rooms. And we were seated by the windows where you take off your shoes and sit Japanese style very comfortable. The servers were very attentive and service was great! They were constantly checking on us and food came in very quickly. Everything we ordered was amazing.Omakase 20 pieces 5/5 the different sashimi were super fresh and the portion was great! Blue Fin Tuna bowl 5/5 - ok their sashimi rice was so good. By far the best I have tasted and of course the blue fin tuna was so fresh.Chicken Karaage 5/5 - perfectly fried and moist chicken pieces with spicy creamy dipping sauceWe also ordered the sweet shrimp appetizer, deep fried shrimp head, and deep fried fish. I forgot the japanese name for them but they are excellent! 5/5 We will be back!

This is my second time dining here during their happy hour. Their oysters are $1 each and they have plenty of small plates on the happy hour menu. Unfortunately, we saw on ant on our plate when the waitress served our sushi and she immediately went back to exchange the plate. This made me question the cleanliness of this restaurant.

Sakesan is our go-to sushi restaurant in the Crocker-Amazon area. The atmosphere is welcoming with karaoke subtitled music videos playing on various monitors around the restaurant, and friendly, attentive servers. The sushi quality is high, and they have all the expected beer, wine, sake, and other menu offerings we've come to expect. There is a good selection of vegetarian-friendly sushi as well as cooked and raw items to fit nearly anyone's taste.Sakesan also has a happy hour every day from 4-6pm, with a special happy hour menu including discounts on alcoholic beverages and happy hour menu items. This is a great way to shave a little off of the already reasonable prices. They have private karaoke rooms for office outings and parties, though we've not tried them ourselves.

I really like this place! I brought my family here for my sister's birthday. Apparently they have private karaoke rooms, I didn't do that, but I might bring my friends here and do that one day. We were sat at one of those tables where you sit on the ground, but the leg area is open so you sit normally, I believe this is called "horigotatsu". The food was good, everything was fresh and well flavored. The chicken katsu was nicely done - crispy without being dry. The price / cost of the food was fair. They drinks, however, seems like they only carry alcohol that's on the pricier side.

This review is for the karaoke room. I am a regular at Sakesan, both dine-in and takeout never disappoints. The food is consistent and price for quality cannot be beat. I've been wanting to try their karaoke room and finally got the chance. Booked the larger room which fits 12 people. I reserved about 2 weeks ahead. Credit card required with a cancelation fee of $100 if cancelled 4 or less days from the reservation date. The room does have a minimum bill of $350, if I'm not mistaken. It's pretty easy to achieve the minimum with a party of 10-12 people. The room is pretty cozy but big enough. Definitely can't walk around, it's just a huge table with a bench on each side. But it worked! Service was solid despite my very loud friends who all love to talk at the same time. Sorry to the staff if we were annoying! Lol. I can confirm that the karaoke system is VERY confusing. But we simply asked for a quick tutorial and we were on our way to belting out songs by Keyshia Cole, Prince, and Michael Jackson. Thankful that the room is soundproof and patrons dining outside of our room couldn't hear our terrible singing. We had an amazing time. All my friends who'd never been there were impressed by the food AND the bill. I'm sure they'll be back. Thank you for a wonderful night Sakesan!

Reviewing for takeout only:After coming back on a long flight with not so great food I was craving some sushi. This place has pretty quick service for takeout and I've gotten it once before, the picture is from the second time only. I remember ordering the OMG roll the first time, and had to get it again. It was still my favorite after trying more rolls (golden gate, OMG, thunder, and hamachi).Golden gate: 3/5 fresh and generous salmon but not my flavor palette. Would probably be 5/5 without the mango sauce, weirdly sweetOmg: 10/5 still the favorite Thunder: 4/5 similar to rainbow, you get what you expectNegi hamachi: 4/5 good value for what you getThis place also has karaoke and would probably be fun to dine in with friends! It sounded lit even on a Sunday night.
