I would give this way more than 5 stars if I could! The wait is well worth it for their original dry fried wings. You can also ask for it to be spicier and they will definitely have a good kick to them. I've been multiple times and the wings never disappoint, and are my favorite wings in the city for sure. Not many vegetarian options, but I would definitely recommend the Vegetarian chow mein, it has good flavor and tons of veggies, and I always get it when I go. The green beans are a great starter as well, and vegetarian! They bring the food out fast after ordering too which is great. One of my favorite restaurants in the city!!

I've always ordered to-go for San Tung and just loved their fried chicken, black bean noodles and the green beans. I was finally able to try dining-in, and the experience did not disappoint. The place was packed on a weekday. There was some wait time, but everyone moved quick. And as usual, loved their food!!!

Yeah you already know. This is probably one of the best Chinese spots in SF. Great food. The wings. Oh my gosh, the wings. They are sweet and have great flavor to them chicken. Sweet chicken wings may sound a little weird, actually I think they are sort of normal. I liked the noodles and the soup was good. To be honest, I could say the names but I have no clue how to spell the dishes and I am going to greatly butcher them. Tenjangjigge. That’s my attempt at the spicy soup. Jajameoung. That’s another attempt at this black noodle dish. The rice was good, service was decent. The atmosphere was good as well, nice spot a little out of the chaos of 9th and Irving, would highly recommend.

The original dry fried chicken which is why most people eat here is excellent. The beef noodle soup has very good soup and noodles but very little beef portions. The jajangmyeon is good as well. The lemon chicken is bad and doesn't belong on the menu. For a restaurant that makes very good food I thought all of the items on the menu would be good.

When you arrive and walk into the narrow entrance, turn to your right and add your name and next to it, your party size in numeric form, to the waitlist on the white board mounted on the wall. Lines are long, typically you will wait 20-45 minutes to be seated.Everything is great on the menu, no frills is very much the case, so orders are delivered immediately.Don't forget the most important rule--Order any dish to go. After midnight it turns to candy in the fridge! :)Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here and the crowd is loud. High chairs.

Just a heads up, waits could take up to an hour sometimes. I specifically came here for “Americas Fried Chicken” and I left disappointed. It’s just normal chicken with a bunch of overly sweet sauce. Also, I got their Mongolian beef and wasn’t too impressed. Definitely think there is better Chinese food in SF.

I do, however, really enjoy their cold sesame noodles. Has the cult of San Tung brainwashed that many people?The look, feel, service (indifferent), and food (meh) are mediocre at best. especially in SF, where there is *much* better food in lots of places, even some nearby ones.Noodle dishes have been OK here, pot stickers large but not great, tofu with bean threads funny tasting and I didn't even take home the leftovers (when the food is really good somewhere, there's less likely to be leftovers, but if there are, I would most certainly snatch it and savor it the next day). Pretty good. Chicken was very flavorful and juicy and black bean noodle was also pretty tasty. Portions are decent. Quite sweet though. Personally, would not wait for food but was taste is pretty good.
