I have specific restaurants that have my favorite foods and once I find something I love that I can't find anywhere else, I go back and order the same thing over and over. That's the case with Sanguchon and their Pan Con Chicharron. It's a sandwich on a nicely toasted acme-style roll with the most delicious roasted pork. The pork is a nice balance of meat to fat; it's juicy and tender, but crispy on the edges. The richness of the meat is balanced with thinly sliced citrus (lime?) marinated onion relish with cilantro, aioli, and a slice of roasted sweet potato. It's marvelous, and add a side of fresh, crispy sweet potato fries, it's heavenly. One of my favorites and I go every week to get my fix. I want to try other items on the menu, but I've never ordered anything else!

First timer and I was amazed how delicious the sandwich was. Adobo sandwich was loaded with flavor and very filling. Service was great and the salsa music playing through out dining area made the atmosphere pleasant. Indoor and outdoor dining available.

Always walk past this place and finally got to try it. Lomo Saltado sandwich and sweet potato fries were a hit. Really good flavor. Saw previous reviews that the sandwich is soggy but it's all the sauce and meat juice!! Service was quick and friendly.

I love lomo saltado so I was curious how it would be in sandwich form. It was pretty good, but I think I would rather just have it as a plated meal rather than in sandwich form. Also, one of my fav things about lomo saltado is eating it with aji verde (the green sauce). I don't think they have the aji verde sauce. I asked for hot sauce and they gave me some hot sauce and it was good, just not the amazing green stuff. The sweet potato fries were very good. Flavorful and crispy. Overall, sandwich was good but like I said, give me a plate of lomo saltado instead.

What an underrated spot. I'm surprised SF Chronicle and Infatuation haven't really picked up on this spot yet. This place deserves to have lines out the door.As recommended by the head chef, I got the pan con chicharron sandwich with yucca fries with a drink. It gets messy, but the sandwich over delivers. It's the perfect balance of meaty and crispy, without being greasy.Yucca fries are super fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.Sandwiches aren't unreasonably priced. At around 15-16 dollars per sandwich, it's cheaper than other hyped sandwiches in SF. Sure, with fries it hits $20+, but the fries are way better than some bag of chips you'll get elsewhere.Pleaaaase try the chicharonne sando!

Good taste. Small portions.Had 1 veggie empanada ($10) and the saltado ($20) both small in portion for the price.

First off, such kind and attentive service from the staff, though I was there at an off hour. The food is also incredibly tasty. The limo saltado sandwich delivered with all the fixings and sauce to match. The plantains were also great, and the addition of cotija cheese on top was one of the greatest takes on fried plantains I’ve ever had.

Listen to me. I'm married to a Peruvian. I've been to Lima 9-10 times. Been to La Lucha (IYKYK) and had pan con chicharron in Peru from multiple places. This place not only has the best pan con chicharron I've ever had, but I dare say it was also one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted.

You don't often see fast casual Peruvian restaurants, so it was great to try a meal here. This is an order-at-the-counter type setting, and I was pleasantly surprised by how the tip selections on the screen were super reasonable (~3-12%) unlike the ridiculous 20-30% options I sometimes see at other similar self-serve restaurants. A friend and I sat at an outdoor table on the sidewalk for lunch and enjoyed the casual setting. My arroz con chaufa bowl was a bit too heavy for lunch (the pork belly had some hefty chunks of fat), but the meat was so tender and the fried rice wasn't dry at all. This place is definitely worth giving a try!

Their sandwiches are dynamite, we go back about once per month. Highly recommend eating the sandwiches in the restaurant itself though, they’re pretty saucy and are most delicious right when they’re made. Favorites are the lomo saltado sandwich and crispy chicken

Had a wonderful Aji De Gallina bowl here. It was nice, warm, and filling. Perfect for a rainy or cloudy SF day It comes with pulled chicken breast in cheese sauce with turmeric and Aji Amarillo sauce - a kind of chilli but it's not too spicy. Along with rice, potato, and egg! They also had pineapple infused water available for free to get yourself It's a nice place for a social lunch. They even have outlets and friendly service I'd like to come back to try more of their dishes, trying to explore more South American cuisine!
