“We had an amazing experience at Abrazo with our friends! We tried a lot of tapas and all of them were simply delicious. I would particularly recommend the charred octopus, croquetas, albondigas, and gambas. The paella was exceptional, it was one of the best I have ever had in the States. I enjoyed my Rioja a lot. The restaurant had a very lovely vibe and it reminded me of the restaurants in Madrid. The people were kind and the service was excellent. So, I would recommend Abraza to anyone around.“

“I’ve been here twice now and only eaten the tasting menu, an option Copas and chef Julio do on thurs/fri. Incredible experience both times, getting different, creative dishes like a Dungeness crab taco and a brisket mole. The price point of the menu and the bev pairing, done by Erica, are fantastic. For the quality-to-deal ratio, this is prob the best in the city. I’ve been to californios, a two star spot and many of the dishes here at Copas would fit seamlessly in there if not outshine them. Chef and Erica are wonderful to chat to and have a o-so obvious talent and love for their crafts. There’s zero doubt I will return for a third time“

“I’ve dined here a couple of times and I’ve enjoyed my experience here every time.First, I should say that if you see churros on their menu, go get it! Do not miss the opportunity because sometimes it’s not available. The churros were so delicious, especially with the chocolate dipping sauce it comes with. The textures are spot on - crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside.I’ve had a couple of dishes and so far I enjoy the broccolini and the bread with quince paste. I recently had their one item charcuterie board and a pork meatball and it was a perfect dinner for me. The cheese I chose was an aged manchego cheese and it was perfect with crusty bread and quince paste. I just wish there was more quince. And the wine selection is awesome. I’ve always enjoyed every wine I’ve had here. And the staff are very helpful in explaining each one.So the concept of El Lopo is if California was still a part of Mexico. And their menu reflects that. The wines are unique - something you wouldn’t see in the average menu. So don’t be afraid to ask. They have sherry-oke nights and trivia nights. I’ve been to a couple of trivia nights and they’re a lot of fun! It can get loud during those nights.Otherwise, it’s usually pretty chill. I dined on my own and enjoyed people watching. This local bar is so cool and you should definitely check it out if you like good wine and snacking on tapas.“

“Came for SF restaurant week! Started with house vermut, and it was satisfying. Hint of being back in Spain! Serrano - okay, enjoyed the pan con tomate, wanted more. Manchego- comes with 2 carb types, both tasty! Bombas de arroz - fun fritters! Enjoyed this. Croquettes - small, unexpected sweetness! Gambas - poached prawns in garlic chili and crispy bread! Carrilladas - braised pork cheeks, soft and savory! Over a tasty bed of potatoes, peas, and carrots! Crema catalana- the cream brûlée, doesn't required the spoon to crack the sugar topping.“

“Great food and ambiance. I would definitely return! Not really the fault of the restaurant but was very busy during our reservation time (around noon) and very loud. It was difficult to hear members or our group and have any sort of conversation. Eventually - as diners left, the noise level was reduced. If you have the option of sitting outside, I recommend doing so as the noise level was significantly less on the small patio.“

“I'm a big fan of squid ink paella and this is one of the best I've tasted in my travel experiences, including the paellas I tried in Madrid and Valencia in Spain, and a Spanish restaurant in San Jose, Bay Area. We were really delighted and pleased with the squid ink paella - good texture of rice, not overly salty and calamari were perfectly cooked. We loved the happy hour Sangria (ordered a pitcher), fresh oysters were great and the deep fried anchovies were tasty (although it would be better if crispier).Friendly and extremely efficient staff. We'll come back very soon for the second round!!!“
