Delicious. Vegan options aplenty. Bad, BAD coffee. Service is about what you'd expect from a diner. All around good vibes.

Delicious food and milkshakes!! The huevos rancheros were really good & service was very nice! It is so cute inside & the surrounding neighborhood is cool as well

The food was very good for a diner. I was very impressed with the wide variety of choices on the menu, as it seems like there are multiple things to choose from for any special diet (unusual for a diner!).

We were long ago customers of the St. Francis Fountain and return when we are in San Francisco. We appreciate the preservation goals of the owner, the original historic decor in particular including the phone booth. But history is about more than decor. The St. Francis was a soda fountain with a great selection of ice cream dishes and real malts. The malts are still there, but no sundaes, floats, splits. The candy counter which formerly had quality chocolates is gone. Our sandwiches were good and the service was good, but this is no longer the St Francis until ice cream is restored, in particular their iconic chocolate sundae which came in regular and junior sizes.

Returned here after some years and it has changed a bit. An underwhelming / disappointing experience for such a cute diner. First grief - a broken hollandaise. My pool of butter was served with whole wheat muffins I did not ask for / nor were they on the menu description, and, instead of runny poached eggs I had the sad neglected ones hardened and slapped on from the bottom of the pot. The server was very out of it. I asked for orange juice and they asked me if I wanted cream with my coffee. Our food came out late, cold and incorrectly cooked. Our plates were slammed on our table. I hope they had a better day after that!

Really good food & price (especially considering the area) they also have good vegetarian options so that's always a plus. Very cute vintage soda fountain interior. Always a favorite when I visit the Mission!

I have been living in the neighborhood for a while ,It's been a miss and go for a while but know it seems the food portion is smaller & the service comes with frickin attitude with A high price!!!!

Place has a great look and has regular diner food. Most of the choices though are a little spicy, hotter than I would choose. My companion seems like the place I like the atmosphere.

Very good diner. Has lots of breakfast options, I always say I'll try something else but I always stick with a chefs mess. Never went for lunch but they have that too. They have vegan options too! It is down the street, a couple blocks, from Wise Sons which I also recommend.

Incredibly grateful this SF institution is still here serving delicious diner food. I love getting to come here and eat. There's options for vegans and non vegans alike. If you like old school diners with good food then this is your place. The fresh squeezed orange juice is amazing, don't forget to try it.

The food is quite good, it's a cute traditional diner. But the service is awful. Do not come here with kids, they will absolutely make sure you know how unwelcome you are.
