Cute little spot for an after work drink! The bartender Liz is such a sweetheart. Gonna come back for trivia night lasted this week.

One of the top beer bars in the city, not too be missed when in the neighborhood.

Great stop for a beer. Excellent selection and close to the civic center for a pre show drink.

The Beer Hall is a sweet little hole-in-the wall joint with a very nice draft beer list and just enough wines (6 when we visited) to keep wine drinkers happy. They have a short list of nosh-ables to provide a quick bite before a show in the Civic Center area. Highly recommended.

The draft beer selection is average. Where beer hall stands out is in the menu with an extensive bottled beers selection. Not a place if you're looking for a good fun atmosphere. I was there on a Friday at 7pm and it was dead quiet with only a couple of patrons.

More of a beer closet, but chill and comfortable with a nice selection of craft brews and a limited but solid wine list. Will definitely come back to this cozy spot.

Small place witth a great selection of beers on tap. Bartender was knowledgeable and helpful. Plus, the restrooms were there when we REALLY needed them after deciding to take far too long a walk from a restaurant to our hotel.

Pliney the Elder bottles for super cheap!?? I had to pinch myself! Amazing place to try a bunch of top notch styles of beer from the very best breweries in CA. The prices are incredibly reasonable for both drafts as well as bottles. The service was superb and attentive and the ambience laid back and relaxing. If you're a beer snob, it's a good place to head to and that too on a budget! Only minor downside is that there's not much food there but allows you to order in.

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon around happy hour time. Great selection of drafts with various pallettes. The bar tender Liz was very helpful with recommendations and energetic to chat with. Nice view across the street from the Twitter HQ. Will stop by again when in town.

Good selection of beers, but wish they had more food options

I live in the neighborhood. This is not a neighborhood that feels like home, but whenever I am here, I feel known. How great is that?!?

Love to have another beer spot in SF. I had been trying to get to this one for a while but could never seem to make it when they were open (more on that later.) Happy to say the beer, service, and space were all great. First, the beer. Several taps of local and non-local quality craft. Not a specific style focus so it should please most tastes. Prices were normal. Service was good, though I would expect that when it's not too full. The bartender quickly attended when I walked to the counter each time and was also happy to give me some info on cans they had in the back. Space was small but had a good amount of seats, so it can definitely accommodate groups. Not a lot of flair but I like things simple. On hours, they are only open M-F and close at 9:30pm. The no weekends thing seems the strangest to me, and I don't know if there is a specific reason. It's easily accessible by transit (a close walk from the Van Ness Metro) and even easier by bike with the protected lane right out in front. All that saying it seems like there would be demand. Nonetheless, make sure to get there early enough for a weekday pint. Looking forward to trying out some more my next visit.

Wide and ever changing selection of local and regional beers.

Great little beer spot with a good draft list! I got a meatball sandwich and I wish the bread it came with was not as soft because the sandwich fell apart. The salad it came with was BOMB though! Pretty good deal for this sandwich + salad combo (I think it was $11?).It was a beer + meatball sandwich + salad for $20!
