This is always a stop on our way through San Francisco. This time my wife and I split the Treasure Island - Warm Brownie Sundae, it was awesome. My son and his girlfriend split a Crissy Field Cookie Bits Sundae, and they loved it. The only problem here is we all want to sit and enjoy the ice cream, but there is so little seating in comparison to the long lines, you are rarely able to find an open table. After ordering, consider heading upstairs to find a spot.
There was no line for ice cream/hot chocolate when we went for dessert at around 6 PM on a Saturday, which was surprising (the line was out the door a couple hours earlier). My husband and I shared the Ocean Beach Sundae, a salted caramel sundae with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge, and we loved it! Of course, we also filled a bag with an assortment of chocolate squares to take home after that. Great for visitors. Overall great place to stop for dessert -- enjoy chocolate and/or ice cream. Comfortable ambience.One specific and strange part of our experience. The plastic spoons kept breaking on the ice cream. The ice cream wasn't that frozen, weren't applying that much force. Might have been a fluke scoop of ice cream (I guess) or maybe something about how we hold a spoon (don't usually have that issue) though three broken spoons is a trend.
