Tried the lamb and eggplant sandwich; it costs $16 and it tastes strange (I.e. not good).Heard good things about the short rib and roasted beef sandwich. Will try next time.

Love this cozy streetside shop. Reminds me of NYC. Get a hefty and tasty breakfast sandwich on focaccia for a hefty price but well worth it. Blueberry muffins are bomb. Wish there were drinks besides coffee but there is a shop just down the street where you can get some Martinelli’s. Bada bing bada boom.

The Deviled Egg sandwich is amazing, I go for easy mayo. The mint is a nice touch along with the fresh pickles!

Amazing sandwiches with fantastic service! Used to be one of my favorites when I worked at the old Yelp HQ on New Montgomery street They also do a wicked good breakfast with streusel coffee cake

okay my potential against the grain take is that the sandwich is just fine. Ambience wise, LOVE! it's a super cute hole in the wall spot that we went to as I've been going to office in the area. The turn around time is super fast and I love that they have a deal for getting a free sandwich if you buy more than 5! The sandwiches come wrapped and served on focaccia style yeasted bread. I got the Vietnamese pork which was just fine, I think the pork could have been seasoned better. Maybe I got the wrong thing? I think my personal biggest issue with the sandwich is that the bread isn't toasted or not coated in a slab of butter when toasted which causes there to be a lack of distinct textures / flavors situation. the bun kind of melts into everything which doesn't have that distinct of flavors to begin with. I love that they have pickles on the side which is also super fun

Breakfast Sandwiches for great value!Huge fluffy focaccia bread (sandwich is partly eaten in the photos but the full sandwich filled the entire to-go box)Warm, melted cheese and delicious eggs and ham.Pesto was nice. Would’ve liked hot sauce, but all in all, a nice hot sandwich for $12 (tax included)

Writing this as their coffee cake melts in my mouth. Wow I almost walked past this place without even noticing it. Located across the Palace hotel in SF this tiny spot has some of the best muffins & coffee cakes. I want to come back to try more! Their muffins are HUGE and freshly made. And the chunk of coffee cake they give you is massive. The food is great. Prices are reasonable. There's nowhere to sit it's more of a stand, but I ate as I walked. Staff is super friendly. Quick service. There was no line when I went. Great spot to grab & go. Will definitely be back!

I had the "Crispy Chicken Sandwich" @ $15 - GG - you would've thought you would've got some chicken - not a bunch of breaded fried bread pieces in between bread - shame on you - never again - if I didn't have a job, I would just stand outside and make a shame of you!

This place has always had steep competition with working girls and now the bird, but it is unique among them with the simple artistic elegance of its sandwiches. The simple descriptions bely deep thought on ingredients combinations. The turkey for instance is sandwiched between a spicy chipotle mayo and a sweet and tangy cranberry jam and everything in between is designed to make you go from craving the spicy of the mayo to the sweet relief of the jam. The roast beef by contrast has nothing unusual, but it is designed to cater to lovers of roast beef with its piles of delicious rare meat being emphasized above all else. The fermented pickles they serve on the side come with slivers of fresh dill that flavored them, they aren't too salty or vinegary.
