Our go-to when we're in the area. Honestly 6 stars - great service, excellent value for drinks, and amazing jerky. Their cocktails are also great, but we go straight for the rail shot every time. Shot + beer + JERKY, who knew that would be the perfect combo. Choose from any well shot + beer on tap & chase with one of their homemade jerky (my fave is the red eye).. utter perfection. Great for a "chill" night out or as a pregame, I highly recommend!

It was my first time here this past Saturday night. I never knew bars in Dogpatch existed! I felt like i was rediscovering my city again for the first time. This was such a cute little bar. I ordered a cocktail and then beer/jerky combo. The jerky was not that special, but the cocktails were pretty good. I would come back :).

Third rail is awesome. I visited here few years back with my co workers and had a pleasant time. I heard they often get very crowded but everytime i visited it was spacious and not many people were around. Second time I came we came on a early friday evening and there was plenty of space for us, and the drinks were fantastic. Highly recommend!

I recently stumbled upon this bar after dinner. As soon as we walked in, the welcoming staff immediately greeted our group. The bar plays music that's a good volume, so you're able to talk to whoever you're with easily. I opted for the Yuzu cocktail, a perfect mixture of citrusy flavors with a subtle gin presence, and the egg white added a perfect foam texture--undoubtedly a 10/10 drink. I also tried some of my friends' drinks, and each one impressed me. Don't miss their jerky while you're there. The Sonoma flavor, with hints of ginger, brown sugar, and soy sauce, stole the show for me. While the sriracha jerky lacked a bit of that sriracha spice, its smoky taste was enjoyable. Overall, a top-tier bar experience --I'll definitely be returning.

Where else can you get a $13 boilermaker that includes in-house beef jerky? Nowhere else I know of. Cocktails also slap, and felt very welcoming :)

This is a nice and chill bar to go with friends on a Friday night. I ordered the rail shot and got the IPA beer, a tequila shot and the sriracha jerky. The IPA had a nice flavor but I liked the cider beer more (my boyfriend got this one and I ended up switching with him). The cider just had a sweeter flavor than the IPA but that is expected! What surprised me was the jerky, it has a good texture that I think is better than most jerky's you buy in store and the flavor was superb! Not too salty, it compliments the drinks very well.
Great atmosphere! Loved the playlist they had on; it was a mix of various r&b songs. We ordered their special drink in which part of the proceeds go to the Maui fires. Will be back again!

Finally tried them, they're a little off the beaten path but worth a visit. Comfy vibe, friendly service, good selection of drinks. I got the Electric Feel: Bombay sapphire gin, passion fruit, electric dust& Cointreau, loved it!!!! I'm sure it was the "electric dust" lol. Also tried some of their jerky. Beef with pepper, brown sugar, coriander & salt. Addictive.

LOVE this bar!! Such a great vibe - awesome for a date night. They have really fun cocktails and great staff! Last time we went, we hung out with and had a great conversation with the bartender, Sergio. We tried this coffee-based cocktail with many unique ingredients but the one we loved was this chicory coffee liqueur, which had ridiculously good flavor. Highly recommend for the vibe, the drinks, and the staff!

It's not like this place needs another great review but I have been coming here for almost a decade. Great bars in SF come and go...but this place has remained the most consistent and accessible bar in my life. The overall quality bar and execution remains unmatched in its consistency and value. It's a great bar to go alone, with friends or family or colleagues. The staff have always been great and during the pandemic they had an amazing menu of to-go cocktails. Thank you Third Rail!
