I came here with my dad on a Wednesday night around 7PM. The restaurant was completely empty. The waiter was kind and gave us great service. To start we had miso soup and shrimp/vegetable tempura. The miso soup was warm and comforting. The tempura was battered nicely and crispy. For the main entrees we shared the Rainbow Roll, Dragon Roll, the Philadelphia Roll. All the rolls were fresh and very filling. My sushi craving was satisfied after this dinner.

Food and lunch specials are great but the new waitress needs some training. I don’t know if she was prejudice or what but the service she gave me compared to others was very below standards. She didn’t welcome me at the door, sat me at a wet table, took my order from across the room, placed my food on the far end of the table so o had to reach to get it. I knocked over my water doing this, and she acted annoyed. Never offered more water. Didn’t offer a receipt after I paid for my meal. So that when I requested one she threw it on the table and rushed away. No thank you. Nothing. As long as she is a waitress here, I’m not eating here again.

Came here to eat by myself. I ordered my food and started to eat. while eating, the woman serving food and the chef began staring and speaking in another language mentioning something about SFPD while laughing. I think this place might be discriminatory towards people of color. Afterwards when it was time to pay the woman serving me got a noticeable attitude when i didn't leave a tip despite me paying $19.50 for a bento box. She didn't even offer me a receipt I had to ask and when she brought it over it was slammed on the table without saying a word. The woman serving was also begging another customer for a position at the customer's job in front of the her children and husband while everyone was trying to eat. I don't think I will be coming back here there are much more friendly japanese places in the city where the service doesn't seem desperate and I feel welcomed.

Tried the sashimi, tonkatsu, and beef teriyaki bento boxes with my family. All of them tasted great and are an excellent value for $12.95. I highly recommend these. I also ordered a spider roll. It was a bit small for $12.95. Value-wise, stick with the bento boxes. Would have been 5 stars if the spider roll is not so small.
