We all ordered the salad for our first course and they brought the carrot soup. I told the server that we ordered the salad and she could not care less. She poured our soups and left without any concern. The room is so loud that you can not have a conversation at your table without great effort.

The service was impeccable. Everyone worked together seamlessly.First course, added course and dessert was creative and plentiful. We felt the mains fell short of flavor and creativity.I will return when the menu changes as the prix fixed menu is genius and you can’t beat the price.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere was great. Food left a bit to be desired. Firstly, we got all 4 courses and it was just enough for most average sized decently hungry people to feel full, largely thanks to the opening salad or soup. However, my complaints were the mushroom lasagna was a bit dry (and even overcooked in some parts) and overly funky and some food items came out a bit cold. Might have just been an off night for the kitchen perhaps. The steak was three small slices and the scallops three small pieces. Would have liked to see a bit more on the plate either with the protein or with the accompaniments. I think for example in total the steak would have been 2-3 oz? Dessert was excellent all across. Overall, as an out of town visitor I'd probably not go back (I seek remarkable experiences when on the road) but if I lived in town, I could absolutely see myself being a regular there after work.

Great atmosphere and top-notch service. Food was a bit underwhelming, however. I had a pea salad starter that was great ... super flavorful and fresh. Our table also ordered a risotto and lasagna second course that were also quite good. My main was the steak au poivre, which was a bit tough and came with slightly under-cooked asparagus and lukewarm potato "sticks" of some sort. It was artfully arranged but not particularly satisfying. The dessert was an olive oil cake that was unfortunately a bit bland. While the price is good on paper, the portions, even for the mains, are what I would expect to get on a tasting menu, so I left the restaurant hungry. I might give it another try, although I would be hesitant as I know of other prix fixe restaurants in SF that don't skimp on the size of the courses as was my experience at Trestle.

Really excellent tasting menu for the price. Service was great, and they had a surprisingly excellent (though a bit pricey) beer menu. Particularly enjoyed the burrata salad. Would go back.

Reliable, lovely experience with a pre-fixed menu at dinner. Everything is good. We added the Peppio E Cachio pasta course and enjoyed it, although you’d get plenty without it. We tried everything else for the most part — I highly recommend the soup and the peanut butter mousse with chocolate cake! Mains were not particularly memorable. I like the white wine they recommended. Great date night venue. You must have reservations on a Friday night.

Trestle? 531 Jackson St, San Francisco, CA 94133My favorite restaurant in Restaurant Week 2023, with a beautiful menu for your referenceI was celebrating a friend's birthday at that time, so I carefully studied the menus of all restaurants participating in Restaurant Week. This restaurant was one of the few that had a four-course meal for only $45 for dinner! Most of them not only have three courses, but also cost 65 US dollars. I feel that the CP value is slightly low.For 45 US dollars before tax, you can enjoy appetizers, pasta, main dishes and desserts, which is a great value for money. There is also a three-course menu for 42 US dollars, and you can add pasta for 12 US dollars. The menu will change from time to time. Super cute, intimate place for dinner. We were greeted with smiles and they welcomed us for our anniversary and put a note on our table. We had everything on the menu. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. Each time I used the restroom my napkin was refolded and put on the table. Such a wonderful place. Dessert had a chocolate piece on top that said Happy Anniversary on each of our plates. We will definitely go back!

All courses were delicious, food came out quickly, drink menu was comprehensive, servers were friendly and attentive. Overall, such a great experience and good for large groups or dates!

For the price you really can't beat it. The portions are substantial, beautifully presented and tasty. The staff are all extremely friendly and very attentive. For some who love cocktails, keep in mind that they only serve beer and wine.

3 preset course menu and chose one main dish for sharing. Delicious and creative dishes only $42 per person. Need to be aware of 20% service charge and other SF mandates/taxes tho. (always?) But overall nice picked for birthday dinner!

It was probably an off night. Staff was lovely but flustered. Soup and bread were great; fish sauce seemed to have too much oyster sauce or something (overwhelming fishy smell?) and pasta dish was too intense, too cheesy, and just not good. Lacked any subtleness. I wish them better nights bc based on soup I believe they have better food in them.
