The best hands down fresh sashimi!! I have been ordering from them for years and they never disappoint. I always tell my friends if you're looking for fresh sashimi you should check them out. Also the best thing is you can either pick up or have it delivered to your house.

I have just placed my second order for this amazing "sashimi quality" fish. I have ordered oysters as well. What an amazing source of fresh seafood with such reasonable delivery fees, at least in my location.

Fish was of good quality. I’m giving a low review because when you order online they charge a deposit which serves as a “retainer for the variation in cost for items sold by the pound”. After shipping, they say the total amount will be recalculated and remaining deposit refunded. Truefish never refunded my deposit, despite repeated attempts to contact them via calls and emails.

Fish was below average quality. One of the orders didn’t even arrive. Called and emailed multiple times over 2 weeks and got zero response. If you’re looking for good seafood, look elsewhere.

Couldn’t get some of the orders, and they didn’t reply.

I had a truly awful experience at TrueFish. I ordered some fish, expecting it to be fresh and high-quality, but what I got was the complete opposite. The fish was spoiled and had a terrible odor. To make matters worse, I ended up with food poisoning after consuming it. I was sick for days and had to seek medical attention. This place is a health hazard, and I would strongly advise against buying fish from here. The quality is abysmal, and the risk of food poisoning is too high to ignore. I will never be returning and urge others to steer clear of this establishment.

Honey, This Fish Was NOT Serving RealnessChild, let me spill the tea on TrueFish. I was all set to have a cute little sushi night with my boo, so I ordered their "Premium Sashimi Box," thinking I was about to get my life. Mmm-mmm, was I wrong!First of all, the delivery was tardy for the party. I'm talking two hours late! I called customer service, and they were like, "Don't worry, it's still fresh." Lies, all lies! When I finally opened that box, the smell hit me like a bad wig--just wrong! The fish was giving me shades of gray, not the vibrant colors I was promised. But you know me, always optimistic, so I took a bite. Y'all, I can't even describe the travesty that was that fish. It was rubbery, and the flavor was giving me "no ma'am."I felt so sick afterwards, I couldn't even vogue my way out of it. I emailed TrueFish, hoping they'd do something, but all I got was a "Sorry you didn't enjoy it." No help, no nothing. Just a sorry, like a bad breakup text. So, let me save you the drama: don't let TrueFish catfish you like they did me. I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst frenemy.Rating: (And that's being generous, darling)

We've ordered several times and have been singing the praises to our friends. I used to go to the Japanese grocery/fish stores in either the SF or Berkeley to buy sashimi grade fish (I don't trust the major grocery chains). We order fresh tuna, hamachi and salmon sashimi, salmon fillets, salmon collar bones, etc. Their selection is pretty extensive. It arrives boxed with ice packs and they text when they are about to deliver. For the freshness and convenience, it's such a good deal for high quality fish. HIGHLY recommend.

We found TrueFish during the depths of the lockdown and what a blessing their service has been! I believe they started delivering to private homes because the sushi bars they supplied were drying up and blowing away. Yep, they deliver sushi-grade fish straight to your door at a price that often beats Safeway. We've never been less than delighted with anything they've sent us. We've brought some of our neighbors in to combine orders with us a couple of times per month so we avoid the delivery charge by ordering more than $99 at a time. There was one occasion where we'd order two bags of scallops and they delivered one bag and an item we hadn't ordered. We emailed them and they promptly delivered the missing scallops and reversed the charges for the erroneous item and gave us the misding scallops for free. Otherwise, their deliveries are super reliable, tracked en route like Amazon so we know we'll be home when the doorbell rings. We were sorry to see that someone found it necessary to hand in a "one-star" for a single item that was sub-standard. I believe part of the complaint included lack of a phone number. We've always found that they respond promptly to emails and we've had no problem coordinating deliveries to fit our schedule and certainly never a complaint about the quality.Side note: Perhaps a more judicious use of the "one-star bomb" should be considered and limited to cases of deliberate deception or egregiously hostile customer service. There are five stars available for a reason. Star-bombing for a case of mild inconvenience tends to devalue the whole system and makes the review into a nothing more than a verbal tantrum. This can be especially detrimental to a small business with only a couple of reviews, even highly favorable ones, which can be knocked down from a 4.5 to a 3.3 by a single reviewer who wants to stamp his or her foot and shake his or her curls, leading a reader to wonder what the underlying personal issue might have been.

I don’t believe it’s possible to buy better fish in San Francisco. Just exceptional!Tip: if you’re driving it’s towards the end of Pier 45.

By far some of the best quality fish I’ve had. Easy to work with & reasonably priced.

Really really fresh fish for a good price - we got .25lbs each of the salmon, tuna and yellowtail, along with the Hokkaido scallops. Easy to order online and set pickup time. The fish is packaged with ice packets to keep freshHowever they did call to see if we could pick up earlier

Uni was all crushed and smashed when it arrived. Definitely does not worth $75. Will never order from there. They also do not list phone number.

This seafood purveyor has been providing fresh seafood from the US and Japan to restaurants for a long time, but we recently took advantage of their direct to the public offerings and were really pleased with both the quality of their seafood and their service. We had their sashimi trio, crab and Hokkaido scallops, and Santa Barbara uni delivered as a gift, and our friends were amazed by the flavors and freshness. They also appreciated the care in the way the products were handled.
