The service was great, such a charming space, and the dumplings are amazing! Chili oil recipe is really good and just spicy enough. Egg custard bao is a really good dessert option if you like rich custard in fluffy cloudy bao :)

Wanted to leave positive feedback for Steven. Top notch customer service despite being the entire front of the house on his own. It’s obvious the guy loves his job and also knows precisely what he’s doing. Respect for hustle and also for going beyond the call of duty for many of the tables you were responsible for. Cheers!

Great little spot with kind no fuss service, (I asked annoying questions that waitress answered kindly) great tender pot stickers with hot oil and vinegar, decent prices and good quality. Was not rushed to leave and it was a comfortable happy atmosphere!

A sharp shard of plastic had been battered and fried with the fried mushrooms. I unknowingly ate it and it got lodged in my throat and I was choked by it. I went to the bathroom and was luckily able to dislodge it spiting it into the sink. Luckily I didn't have an ER visit. Further to that, green beans were sitting on the floor in the back, right at the bathroom. Simply disgusting and the choking experience was truly scary. It could have been a significantly worse experience had I not been able to get the sharp plastic out of my throat!

The food is amazing -handmade and fresh- but it’s the people working there that make it special. Our server, Steven, is a ray of sunshine.

Best dumplings ever... well I have never really had dumplings until this place but they are a new instant favorite. I recommend the chicken cheese pot stickers, and bbq beef dumplings.

On Friday night, I walked in to this Marina location of United Dumplings and was immediately recognized by United Dumplings' staff member, Steven. I was so surprised because I'd never been to this location, but had been to the Bernal Heights location a few times--once for takeout, once for a friend's birthday dinner, once for a lunch meetup (which he remembered), and once for a date (lol.) He was flattering and fun--our group loved his energy and he helped make our night!I like the interior decor of the Marina location--its cute and cozy, giving off European cafe vibes. There's outdoor seating but it was raining, and the inside is small. They seem to have a pretty good takeout business too.3 millennial women shared Grandma's Pork Dumplings, Korean BBQ Beef Dumplings, Chicken Soup Dumpling, and Mission Chicken Pot Stickers. As always, my favorite was the Mission Chicken Pot Stickers--who would've thought that adding cheese to dumplings would be so delicious? So unique too! All of the dumplings were juicy and flavorful. I like how there's a chicken XLB option so you don't need to eat so much pork (not that I personally am complaining about pork dumplings.)Lastly, we enjoyed Sesame Balls With Red Bean Paste at the end. Thank you, Steven and United Dumplings, for a wonderful night. I will be back to this location more often!

Some relatives checked in around 8pm on Xmas evening and normally bustling Lombard was dead. Everyone had closed ultra early. We didn't want to drive to Chinatown so walked over to Chestnut and found UD open for another hour. We saw a couple in celebratory hats and red noses and decided to just grab something. My nephews ended up saying it was the perfect beginning to their SF holiday. Was it the food? The dumplings and bao were good (yes only Asian people cooking)? Yes, in fact I was surprised that this was a chain. Another one of the trendy "dumpling" places popping up all over the City. But what gave this place a special vibe was "Santa Steve", our struggling flamboyant actor/waiter, who lightened up the place for the 5 tables that would have made the Grinch celebrate Kwaanza. We all stayed past closing as Steve poured his secret alcoholic concoction. Is Steve the second coming of Edsel Ford Fong (of Sam Wo fame)? I don't know and I don't know if I'll ever run into Steve again, but if I am ever in the hood looking for some dumplings after a few rounds of drinks in the Marina, I'll skip the high restaurants and grab a few pot stickers with Steve!

We sat on the outside tables and it wasn't too cold out, it was rather sunny but we were in the shade. We ordered a chicken XLB, a pork XLB and korean bbq beef dumplings, the food arrived pretty quickly. The dumplings were well presented, tasty and the quantity-price ratio was good (8 for ~$12). the sauces arrived with the dumplings and we were disappointed by them as they tasted a little too vinegary(?). The beef dumplings were good but the dough overpowered the filling. The XLB's were tasty and the soup was good.however after 3 dumpling plates for 3 people that we shared (that worked out well), we didn't feel too full which would be good for a dessert but we were looking for more of a stomach filling place to eat.Overall, we were satisfied and the area of the restaurant is a nice street when it's sunny, full of other restaurants, shops and even some ice cream places and bakeries.

Our visit to United Dumpling in the Marina was a mixed bag, but overall, a satisfying experience. We kicked off with the Spicy Sichuan Dumpling in Red Oil, which, though flavorful, could've used a tad more salt or umami for that extra punch. The Mission Chicken Pot Stickers added a twist to the usual with a surprising ingredient--corn. While it was okay, the uniqueness of the corn inclusion was a conversation starter.A highlight of the meal was the California Beef Noodle Soup, delivering a good balance of flavors that left a positive impression.Service was speedy, living up to the expectations of a quick dumpling fix. The casual ambiance sets the tone for a laid-back dining experience. In summary, United Dumpling offers a decent spot for those craving dumplings with a variety of flavors. The hits and misses make it an interesting choice, and the fast service makes it suitable for a quick bite.

My 7yo daughter and I tried to make a takeout order at 9:30 when their posted hours are until 10, but we were rudely turned away after walking several blocks to get here on time. Take your business elsewhere if you want good service.
