This place is strongly over-rated.Both my friend and I left feeling sick after consuming loads of butter and oil on the food. The food options and menu felt limited. They had no simple breakfast options. To get simple eggs, bacon and potatoes, they all had to be ordered separately as sides and came on individual plates. We asked for salt and pepper and received two plastic cups with salt and pepper on the bottom that we had to grab with our fingers to apply. It also seemed like the potatoes were baked in oil for a while and not even cut. The bacon was also cooked to a crisp and the toast was so burnt it wasn't edible. The food tasted like airport food. I'm not one for writing bad reviews. It was that bad though...

Such an awesome neighborhood restaurant with solidly delicious and creative food. They have been around for a long time. Please patronize Universal for dinner. A well kept secret!

Went on a beautiful Halloween Sunday, the line was long, but it moved very fast. The service is amazing, the waiter kept informing us about our spot, and they were accommodating and kind. The food was amazing too, I got excited and even forgot to take photos of other dishes. Tasty and for sure I will come back.

Such a cute spot in the mission! I love their daily menus and even though I wasn't a fan of the grilled veggies, the poached eggs was incredible! I'll have to be back just for that, and the mimosas of course!

My favorite brunch in San Francisco. I usually go there every two weeks or so. The ingredients feel very fresh and are super tasty. You can really feel the difference in ingredients quality. The vibe is nice. Make sure to go early, as they don't take reservations and the waitlist get very very long, the first time I went there I waited for one hour. My personal favorite is the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and the fig pancakes (I believe their menu is seasonal so they may not have these items on their menu anymore).

One of my go-to brunch spots that never disappoints. Back in my 20s I used to get the decadent and inventive fresh toasts, but now I usually end up with the soft scrambled eggs or something else fresh and veggie-filled. The menu is seasonal and always a good balance of filling but not too heavy. I also love the vibe of the place. It's brunch as it was meant to be, relaxed and in a sunny space, where back in the good old days you might bring your Sunday newspaper to read as you sipped your coffee (with free refills) and waited for your eggs. The outdoor space is also nice and you'll see many adorable pups. A true gem for brunch in the Mission.

I'm not normally a brunch person, but this place far exceeded my expectations. The orange juice was freshly squeezed (to our surprise), service was fast, and food was absolutely delicious. I will be coming back!!

Hubby absolutely LOVED his fried chicken sandwich (but there are no sides. It’s just a sandwich). I had the poached eggs over the potato cakes with ratatouille. It was so-so. The eggs were good. The cakes were very bready and greasy. Super coated and very fried. Deep fried. The ratatouille had waaay too many peppers and onions. The apple cider donuts were also super greasy and deep fried. We sat outside. If you’re planning to, get there early, as the afternoon sun will bake you.

Been coming to this fine place for the last 6ish years, and every time it's delish and the vibes are great. I enjoy this place a lot so I thought I'd hop on here to say that. It's clean, nourishing, flavorful dishes.

Delicious breakfast, brunch & lunch options in Mission neighborhood.Everything was delicious and the constant line of people waiting for tables meant a popular restaurant. The house coffee is strong and the wait staff made sure to refill on more than one occasion. The menu has many great choices and my breakfast hash with maple sausage, crispy fried Brussels sprouts, sunny-side egg, sweet & traditional potatoes, salsa verde, etc. was perfectly seasoned and a filling portion. They are following all COVID protocols by asking patrons to wear masks and only take off when actively eating and drinking. All servers wear masks at all times.

Always good. And super tasty. I try to stray from the soft scramble as everything is amazing but that siren's song is hard to deny. The mission is always warmer and sunnier so their outdoor seating is functional and full. Just don't come before 9:30am on the weekends. I go when they open and don't want to wait for you to finish.

Always so delicious! The house made English muffins are a favorite.

Once you get a table everything is fast and delicious.

We came in right before leaving to go to the airport. Quick service, very accommodating. The chicken was phenomenal, but the salad was also good and the beignets were to die for. Especially with the raspberry jam and creme. Try it!! Lunch on Saturday and the wait was not long at all.

I highly recommend this place for brunch. The staff are really nice, relaxed atmosphere and food is amazing. I ordered House-Made Sourdough English Muffin and my boyfriend ordered Charcoal-Grilled Tombo Tuna Sandwich. Both were really good. Tuna was a good portion and lean. Tasted delicious even with removing any sauces. I very much enjoyed my sourdough English muffin sandwich which had ample amount of nicely done thick bacon pieces, avocados, egg, salsa and cheese. The potential downside is that the menu has limited selection but that's probably why it's so good! Stop by here and support this restaurant!
