Stopped in in my last night in town, very much feels like stepping back in time. Great welcoming service even on a packed Friday night. Had a Guinness, sat across from the door watching traffic, people, and rain. Was an appropriate last stop on the trip.
I love this bar. It's the Beatnik hangout. Bob Dylan, Abby Hoffman, Jack Kerouac used to hang here. There's a working gas chandelier. Cheap drinks. The place is covered with history. You can sit at the bar, tables, upstairs, even outside. The door guy Oliver is super cool. Do not miss!

I am obsessed with this place. During my weekend in San Fran, me and my boyfriend went here almost every night. We love to share cheap pitchers of beer and this place had pitchers for $20 which was an unbeatable price in the area. The bar was so cozy. It felt like an old Victorian mansion. The walls were covered with art and paintings and it was lit with mostly Tiffany style lamps.
