Private intimate dining club with LOTS of fantastic San Francisco history!!

Kris Schneider

Unbearable narrow seating , small table seating six, table edge right at guests' chest, no space to place your feet not to mention a backpack.

Private club, but can be used by members for business entertaining, unlike most. Quiet, nicely decorated, no oafs wearing baseball caps slobbering food at the next table.Regular food/wine special events with experts. Membership dues are quite reasonable.

The review in spanish by muriel is by a bot. It should be deleted. The Villa Taverna is a dining club that arguably runs the best restaurant in San Francisco. If you find someone to host you, you will enjoy as good a dining experience as you can find in San Francisco.

My friend is a member of the club. Lucky me; we were treated with white gloves. Some of The City's movers and shakers were dining near by- lots of St John Knits and hushed conversations with lawyers. Lovely menu, great service, quiet and elegant.
