Das Ist FantastischHonestly, I know only one banger of food: German beer with classic sausages! It's your a small Oktoberfest and chance to try original German food. So, Walzwerk has a good vibe and perfect service. Our order was totally fresh, tasty, absolutely delicious. Definitely, you should test it!

I just went by the website and saw the "last week" notice! Legitimately sad - super delicious & legit german food, and I never truly took advantage of their location around the corner from me. My dad (lived in germany for a few years) got a big kick out of the dual language menus and Very Good beer list. I gained a new appreciation for Walzwerk after a couple trips to different parts of germany - the food is very legit and also delicious! If I'm not too late (the announcement doesn't have dates ;_;) I'm going to try for one last order tomorrow!! :fingerscrossed: there's apfelstrudel!

I love Walzwerk. It is one of the neighborhood restaurants in the Mission that has a special place in my heart. Delicious East German food with very friendly staff, and quirky decor. Especially love the veggie roulade, pea pancakes, and berliner wiesse. There's something magical about this restaurant.

Having been raised on German food, I often find German restaurants somewhat lacking. Walzwerk, however, was exceptional!! Our group ordered the Rolladen served with red cabbage and spaetzle, Sauerbraten and Jaegerschnitzel with a generous helping of mushrooms. The flavours of each were delicious, and were complimented by the 3 varieties of German beer ordered.We will most certainly eat here again during our next visit to San Francisco.

Absolutely lovely place. I travel from Chile only to have a meal there and it was worthy. I recommend have reservations, the place is packed and it is difficult to have a table. The service is super nice and the memorabilia is fascinating.
