Drinks are strong, so you're bound to have a good time! The outdoor patio is worth the visit alone - you and the squirrels amongst the jasmine, what more do you need?

Enjoyed my cider out back in the garden - so cool! Really relaxed vibe. I can definitely see making this a regular place to unwind.

Bartender was not very nice, crowd was older and music was not my type, especially for a gay bar.Pool table was fun, just had to pay for it.Was fun, but not exactly the queer vibe I wanted on a Saturday night.

First time I went it was fine, the bartender was okay but didn't really interact. The second time the bartender made me and my friends feel completely uncomfortable and unwelcome, and made snide sarcastic comments. I don't often get to be in queer femme spaces so I was looking forward to actually feeling welcome somewhere... No wonder lesbian bars are dying out if this is the case. The drinks we fine. The bar doesn't look nice enough to be a nice bar and doesn't have enough character to be a dive bar

This Bernal Heights spot has been a lesbian bar since it first opened in 1962. When I paid my first visit quite recently, the irony was that most of the customers were guys. It was a chill vibe, and the bartender Heather had a been-there, done-that sense about herself which I quite respected. She made a fine $8 Tequila Sunrise (photo: which I promptly took out to the back deck. There was a female customer sitting contently on a couch, and she shared her long history with the place and generously walked me down to the large bucolic garden downstairs. I was surprised how large and private it was with lots of outdoor sculpture and various art pieces scattered among the foliage. I sat peacefully in my own private enclave. What a nice find on a mellow afternoon. DRINKS - 4 stars...the drink provided a nice balm AMBIANCE - 5 stars...definitely an unbeatable garden SERVICE - 4 stars...not much conversation but quick TOTAL - 4 stars...the secret garden, for sure RELATED - Exploring Bernal Heights? Sweet little lesbian bar, pretty quiet on a Tuesday, with v friendly bartender, who gave us out of towners great recommendations for restaurants and other women owned businesses. United dumplings, a chain down the street, is v tasty.

Always freezing cold, lousy drinks - but wonderful dive bar with neighborhood feel!

Wild West Bingo on Mondays at 6pm is authentic san francisco bar charm at its best, with an over the top drag queen hosting while patrons play to win free drink tokens and mystery prizes! Flashing lights and disco music gives a Vegas off strip appeal to the whole thing...

Exactly what you would expect from a dive/sports bar. The beer on tap is excellent. Great people working too.
