Somehow this spot feels like a backcountry ranger station or mountain top ski hut. What I’m saying is it’s cozy, simple, understated and completely unique for the area brewery/bar scene. These guys make great beer and wine locally, and empanadas are on point. Look for the ski lift chair out front and escape.

Tiny tiny place but they have el porteño empanadas so that makes it worth it! Sit outside on a nice day and enjoy Polk Street! Perfect place to start the evening with friends.

Been meaning to drop by here for over 2yrs, finally checked it out yesterday. Cute, tiny place with outdoor and indoor options. Friendly service and a variety of beer on tap and in cans. Unfortunately they don't have Heff on tap often and didn't have it yesterday. Tasted a couple options and chose the Marzen, but would have preferred a clean, crisp wheat. I also tried 2 empanadas! Yummy, warm and easy to eat. I liked the Chard more than the Mushroom one. Will try the Beef and Ham ones next time if they have a clean, crisp wheat on tap. It was a great day to sit outside and watch life go by! Looking forward to stopping in the next time I'm running errands. Keep up the great friendly service and vibe. Thank You! :)

Drinks are OK, but bartender was rude, and the place isn't cozy. I definitely don't recommend it.We entered the place at 11.40pm, and we were asked to immediately order drinks or leave. At 11.50, this guy started putting chairs on the bar top, switching lights to max brightness, and so on. Basically, we were forced to leave the place. The interesting thing is that bartender was drinking a beer all the time...

Small spot, limited options for beer and only empanadas on the menu. Good location, decent vibes. Empanadas are overpriced and just alright, they're $4 empanadas going for $7.60. beer selection is lacking, especially for being in SF

A small place in a friendly neighborhood. They have interesting beer selections on tap. They have empanadas too, which are really nice. It is a good spot to hang out with friends and may be even read a book by yourself.

Excellent beers on tap and new ones arriving periodically, great aesthetics, game is always on, bartenders are the best, and best empanadas to go with the drinks. Also nice outdoor seating on the corner.

Chico was the best bartender. Great service, amazing beer. Highly recommend the local honey. A staple brewery in SF. Highly recommend if you're in town and want a tasty empanada.
Nice micro brew with many drink options. The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant. It has a fun set up like a ski lodge. Stop by when your in the area.

Really a fantastic bar. Small bar with only a few seats indoor (3-4 at the bar and a few more at the other table) with a few more seats outside surrounded by heat lamps. If you're looking for a small bar with good beer, this is your spot. Bartender is great and is a good person to strike a conversation with. They have one TV that is typically playing a sports game.My buddy had the empanadas and said they were great. Would definitely recommend if you like beer/wine and an intimate experience.

The empanadas are delicious and the craft beers are unique and absolutely amazing. Chico is the man, has the best service, and is one of the best bar tenders I know. Woods is my favorite bar in the neighborhood!
