My experience in this restaurant was very bad. I paid 21 with high expectations but it wasn’t good. The lamb is not fresh at all and it has no taste.

It was a bad experience for me. The place was dirty and cramped, and the food wasn't representative of Yemen.

I got the chicken stew to go. Chicken meat was falling off the bones. He called it a soup. There were lots of veggies, two pieces of chicken, one was a whole thigh. It was really good. Not too salty. They gave me two hugh pita bread. Veggies were zuchini and potatoes. $17. Sketchy neighborhood. I would go only day time. Yes, it is near police station but police are inside, not outside.

I ordered the roasted lamb, lentil soup, and Tawa bread with honey. It was more than enough food for 2 meals yet I was tempted to finish it in 1 because every bite tasted so good Definitely a hole-in-the-wall. The owner was really sweet

This place is the gem of the Tenderloin. Great service to begin with. Abdul works in the back cooking and is also the owner, it turns out. Great hospitality and attitude. Cool place to eat with a very small group. Food is fresh and have great portions. Best tasting Yemeni food in SF. Can't wait to go back.

I felt like I was eating a home cooked Yemeni meal. The service was delicious and the food was delicious! Everyone was so nice who was there.

In a city full of make believe, this place is authentic and wonderful. A very small place with blue collar vibes that is filled with inviting aromas and friendly greetings. The absolute best baked chicken I've ever had. I have tried most of the menu, and it was all great. Dining in SF can be a very hit or miss adventure, but the food at Yemen Kitchen is KILLER. Don't mind the bums defecating on the street, the inside of this place is where it's at! It's like being invited into someone's home with open arms and being blessed with a phenomenal meal. The guy that runs the place is great, the hot tea is just what you'll want to knock off a chill, then you will leave satisfied, fat and happy.
