I waited five years to try this place once I had heard that Wong Fu opened it, and the wait was worth it. The Taiwanese spicy chicken sandwich blew my mind and my spirit, and the quality of the tapioca was amazing. I don’t even live here, but I will be coming back soon.

The spicy version of the popcorn chicken is so good! Love that you can choose between white or dark meat. The matcha blueberry compote is so refreshing - I’m definitely going to have to come back and try their other flavors!

I got the BA-LA Matcha drink when I visited and loved it! Despite how busy it was, the service was great and the staff got drinks out in a timely manner. I would definitely go back if I’m in the area again!Parking: There is a free parking lot, but it was pretty full on a Sunday afternoon.

Service was friendly and helpful for a first visit to bopomofo. I was visiting from out of town and had to try even though I just finished dinner. But it was worth it and the staff were patient and helpful. The boba was perfectly chewy and fresh. Tea was a bit on the sweet side but I wanted to try it without any changes.

I was excited to try this place because of who the owners are! It’s a cute little spot. Good seating inside and outside. Seemed a little cramped inside though. We got the honey walnut shrimp burger ? and the ma po tofu tots. They were both ok. Kind of strange combinations to be honest… can’t quite put a finger on the taste… the burger was really juicy though. I think the spicy sauce on the tots was slightly weird. Just overall odd on both ends? lol but I appreciate the effort haha. Got the coffee boba too and that was very good!Overall good boba but meh food!

This place is in the same small strip mall as my favorite dim sum joint. Stopped in for a hot latte and it was excellent. Warm coffee and hot matcha was a great cup. Great and friendly staff added to a pleasant atmosphere. Many different juices as well as great coffee.

Hojicha Latte was really yummy! Would come back for that instead of the Assam Milk Tea. Boba was nice and chewy too! Good QQ!

Oh man, I love Bopomofo! Great drinks, great food, cute spot. Whenever I'm in the area I always think I want to try different food but then I always wind up wanting the popcorn chicken from Bopomofo and then I end up getting other food as well and then I don't go anywhere else hah.My order always contains some form of bala matcha and popcorn chicken. The Thai basil aioli is SO good with the popcorn chicken. The braised pork belly rice and honey walnut shrimp are good too, but bala matcha and popcorn chicken are what I come for. The pork belly rice portions are honestly pretty small (and seem to have gotten smaller recently), especially for the price, but it is good. If I wanted pork belly rice that was more worth the value I would probably go somewhere else but I often just end up getting it because I'm already at bopomofo and it IS good (just expensive and small)I normally order online for pickup so that the order is ready faster. Have always gotten good service here, workers are nice. They recently added a cute 626 neon sign that is probably Instagram worthy as well.

Wow, this iconic boba store and restaurant is a gem that deserves a 6/5 if possible.I first heard about this place as one of the co-founders is Phil Wang, who is a founder of Wong Fu productions and also frequents the store! They are known for their delicious popcorn chicken (perfectly crispy), but their milk tea is also exceptional. I love that they have non-dairy substitutions for free, and they don't have too many options, which means that their teas are all fresh and perfected.I had their brown sugar assam milk tea with 50% sugar and thought it was perfect in every way. There are 3-4 dining spaces inside and 4-5 tables/benches outside. There is even a place to wait for drinks to be ready.Wait times can be long (15+ minutes even if one arrives right when the store opens), but it is possible to order ahead and come pick up if one is in a rush. The service is amazing. The person taking our order told us all about the different types of drinks and specials. She had a bubbly personality and treated us with great kindness.Lastly, the theme and decor of the restaurant are well thought out. Based on the Bopomofo system that Taiwanese children use to learn pronunciations of words, the store has the characters throughout, a cool neon sign showing the area code of 626, and two tigers battling based on a children's nursery rhyme.

For starters the service is satisfactory. The interior was very cute and its decorative nature reflected the holiday season. As for the actual beverage it on the higher price point and found it disappointing considering the high ratings. In particular, we tried the lychee lemon drink and expected a refreshing sensation but it turned out to be rather syrupy and oddly watery so ultimately lacking in any distinctive flavor.

Great boba drink as usual. Long wait as usual. Regular usually order ahead online. It's open dining area with table inside and patio area. Make it large drink with $1 more. It's worthy. Ordered Orange Wang, Matcha Latte and Fall menu of Frankie's Matcha. Frankie's matcha comes with real blueberry compote. All of them taste great with all natural flavor.
