Danishes we're not very good, and the lychee cake in the display case did not look very good. Taro mochi bun was ok. Nothing stood out to me to warrant a return visit

Ordered an 8" lychee cake for another birthday celebration but this time I wasn't very impressed. There were unpeeled lychee on top as decorations, which is fine but half of them were black or sour so they were rotten. The cake was a sponge cake and it was light and fluffy but no lychee flavor. The lychee flavor was in the cream, and it was delicious. But it seemed kind of basic bc of that. At least the black sesame cake had flavor in the actual cake. They also only wrote "happy" and the name instead of happy birthday. That makes 2/2 times they got the message wrong. For $58, I expected more out of the experience, taste, and quality. Very limited on baked items when visiting the store. Staff was very friendly and helpful though.

This past weekend i needed a birthday cake but didn't get to order early, so I called to ask if they have any cakes at the evening around 6 PM, a young Chinese girl answered the call and explained to me exactly flavors and size of the cakes that they already made and can be bought in store as well as the flavors that could be ordered and picked up in only 20mn. She seemed young but she explained better than many cashiers at cake shops that I had come in the past. I could feel her passion in job :) When brother and I got there, we got to understand the freshness of the fruits in the cake and the quality of the cake just by listening to the little girls explanation, because she also had try those truths and key during the making process of the day, so that was really helpful for us to know which cake and fruits to pick as fruits that are out of season were a little sour. We got tiramisu, 6 inch, and it was perfect for 7 people at home to celebrate brother's birthday. I thought that the little girls explanation was important, and customer service was great. The cake was beautifully made and reasonable price will definitely save this cake shop for my future birthday celebration!

Good size Asian bakery. Most of the items were similar to 85 degrees. Curry Beef Bun - its hard to describe but the curry flavor was more Chinese curry than the japanese style. It's not as sweet and more spice. I liked it and even more the pan was baked instead of fried. It's around $3.25-$4 for each pastry but I was able to pick up some discounted ones that I'm assuming were from the previous day.

Dessert in San Gabriel, California... We were having a snack across the street when James pointed and said, "That bakery is really good!" Haha... okay... let's try it! D'Ange Bakery is a cozy shop with individually wrapped pastries, loaves of bread, and beautiful cakes for sale. There's a free parking lot behind the shop with another entrance. James bought a Jalapeño Bread. I got a Mushroom & Ham Bun and a Ham & Cheese Bun (to eat on the airplane tomorrow). As I was paying, I saw the Custard Tarts in the warmer and got one to consume right there. It was on the eggy side. I've had other egg tarts that were creamier and sweeter. At least my curiosity was answered. Haha! The crust was nice and flakey! Service was efficient and friendly. I'd return if I was in the area again because prices were reasonable!

A nice bakery tucked away in a small strip mall in the SGV. After seeing several reviews of this place, we decided to give ourselves a visit as well. The interior provides a homey neighborhood bakery feel, which I appreciate, with numerous selections of bread, cakes, and other baked goods. Staff was very helpful in answering questions regarding contents of certain items and service was prompt. The mango coconut cake that we got was light yet full of flavor. Some of the larger bakery chains have good mango cakes and other selections but lacks the flavor that we crave. The one we got was perfect. There's limited parking spaces available but parking wasn't a challenge during our visit. Give it a try if you're in the area!

I needed a last minute cake for my mom and her birthday is 2 days before Christmas. I came because I really wanted a black sesame cake. When I came they didn't have any more and they offered to make it same day to give it to me 5 hours later. Which is amazing! But I didn't have the time to pick it up in the evening. I ended up getting a 6-inch mango cake, and it was really really good. The mango was tart and sweet, and the cake overall was light and not too sweet. I think next time I will call ahead so I can try their black sesame cake, it seems like it's one of the most popular items in their menu.

Come and try out the soft egg tart. It's delicious. Bring a friend come inside and check it out. :)

While looking for a bakery in the San Gabriel Valley, I stumbled across D'ange Bakery which was highly reviewed. While I did not end up buying any pastries there, I did get one of their medium sized New York Cheesecakes. It was delicious, and I am eager to return to try out some of their other baked goods. MY ORDER x1 NEW YORK CHEESECAKE (M) New York Cheesecake (M) ($48): It may look rather ugly compared to your typical smooth surfaced cakes, but man is this legit. The cream cheese filling is very thick and creamy, much akin to the famous Junior's cheesecakes of New York. The store owner asked me what fruits I wanted on top and I said I wanted all of them without knowing what my options were exactly. The store owner kindly obliged. My favorite fruits to pair with the cheesecake were mango, blueberry and strawberry. The price is average compared to other bakeries. Environment: - It is a small bakery with no seating - They also sell cold sesame noodles if you are looking for an entrée Tips: - There is a parking lot - Order a cake ahead of time, otherwise you will have a very limited selection

They have a great assortment of baked goods but I love coming here for their mango cake! You can get cakes by the slice or order a whole cake. Customer service is also good and I would recommend anyone to stop by to try out some of their pastries.Parking: Easy parking
